Release Day: Mind Games by Carolyn Crane

The Blurb
Mind Games heroine Justine Jones isn't your typical kick-ass type - she’s a hopeless hypochondriac whose life is run by fear.

She's lured into a restaurant, Mongolian Delites, by tortured mastermind Sterling Packard, who promises he can teach her to channel her fears. In exchange, she must join his team of disillusionists - vigilantes hired by crime victims to zing their anxieties into criminals, resulting in collapse and transformation.

Justine isn't interested in Packard's troupe until she gets a taste of the peace he can promise. Soon she enters the thrilling world of neurotic crime fighters who battle Midcity’s depraved and paranormal criminals.

Eventually, though, she starts wondering why Packard hasn’t set foot outside the Mongolian Delites restaurant for eight years. And about the true nature of the disillusionists

And check out the contest she has running on her blog You can win a fancy dinner

Oh no, danger danger! Books that keep you up past your bedtime are just pure evil, they should all be sent to ME, so I can keep my eye on them ;)

    Chris
    *gasps in utter horror*
I take offense that you imply that I somehow would try to "trick" you into giving me this book. I never!
I am only thinking of you, yes you
    *coughs*

Hm why are my pants on fire

  15. Psssst! Um Chris, do not listen to Blodeuedd over there but send the book to me. I can stay up all night and read it and do not mind feeling like a drunk the next day or so!!!! I will not even try to "keep" it but will send it right back via magic fairy flying carpet... Wait, that really did not get typed, pay no attention think I already stayed up reading Sins Of The FLesh too late last night and am already drunk from lack of sleep!!!

On a serious note though, the book has gotten such wonderful reviews it is going to be in my hands as soon as the weekend rolls around because the nearest bookstore to me that will have it on a shelf is a 100 mile round trip!

Oh no are you trying to trick Chris too, noooooooooooooo ;)

I knwo those reviews are drawing me in. But yikes that would be one long trip for me...hm I wonder which country I would have to visit to get it ;)

  18. Chris
Hm so weird, this showed up first now...

    Better hide that book ;)

    ReplyDelete
  19. I still may trick her, Blodeuedd. All have to do is wait till she falls asleep and that book clutched to her chest will be vanished by my genie in a puff of smoke and carted on the flying carpet over to my waiting hands!!

Of course on the way it is going to get rained on, snowed on and who knows what else!!! :-)

Chris consider yourself under seige, sweetie we want you to hand over the book peacefully!!!

  21. The kitties would get any old genie before it could do anything. Ha!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Chris the genie would bring catnip and dangly toys and fish and exchange them for the book, you can bet the kitties would never be able to resist that....

  23. Chaos could! He hates anyone other than me and won't take treats or toys from them.

    ReplyDelete
  24. *sneaks into her house while she is arguing with Jackie*
Book, where are you? I am here to save you. I worked hard on my astral projection

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh, Blodeuedd, watch out for Chaos!! He's a guard kitty. I believe that it was Ms Crane who asked if he was going to rip off her face if she made a misstep...

    ReplyDelete
  26. Okay now that was just bad karma, sneaking into the house while Chris is occupied with me and stealing the book from under both our noses. You win Blodeuedd, you are sneakier than me and my genie... (Hey Chaos sic em) :-)

  27. What, rip my face off?! Oh no! back in to my body astral self!!
If I can't read then the book will not be worth it.

    jackie
Hehe I am a sneaky little devil, but I fear we both loose. Chaos is too clever for us

    ReplyDelete
  28. On that note we gracefully admit defeat, foiled by a mere kitty cat with razor sharp claws and an attitude!! :) Been fun chickies but am off to play another day!!

  29. Lol, thanks for playing Jackie :)

I bow down before Chaos the Mighty

    ReplyDelete
  30. LOL! What is happening here!! A genie and astral projection will not defeat Chaos, who is very fierce.
Jackie: Nearest bookstore 100 miles! Yikes!

    ReplyDelete
  31. And Ms Crane would know, yes, yes, she would, as she has been personally menaced by Chaos. Fifteen pounds of crabby black kitty - intimidating!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Also, Blodeuedd!!! Thanks for making this post! And, I loved your OCD idea over at BkSmug! I do wish I'd used it!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I better just stay away, Chaos is one dangerous kitty! There are people still alive to tell the tall.

    Carolyn,
    You're welcome :D
Lol, glad you liked the idea I had over there
