DNF time
It was ok, but I had already read 2 other books and I had started this one before those. It did not hold my interest, and then I skimmed a 100 pages, and then I skimmed the rest. I want more than just ok, and it is freeing that I can dnf my own books.
It was rom sup but it felt mostly thriller from what I read, and I was bored.
I was bored.
Oh but maybe it was just too grim for you?
Grim? What? No I was BORED!
If I can't even try to bother to skim when I reach p 50 then it is def a lost cause. I do not care if it gets really awesome by p 400. I will never reach that!
I am a cruel cruel mistress. My poor books. This one, sure it was good I guess (not for me though.) I was bored, I could not get into it, and I could not care less.
I dunno. Stuff happened. I skimmed, I skimmed some more. Yawn. DNF. It was ok, but who wants ok?
I looked forward to this one, but I was bored by it and made it to p 50. Did I continue for another 500 pages, and 2 more books. Gods no!
The characters felt flat. The story never took off. I never connected to either people or events. I was stuck behind, looking on, not caring.
Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteYou are doing so well with your walking!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteWhy am I not doing this a walk-a-day thing?! Especially now that I'm enjoying audiobooks more? Sigh. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteYes join! :D And yes listen to audiobooks
DeleteVery pretty pictures. I really need to go on walks with the herd pup.
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteSorry you had so many DNFs! Awesome job walking and exercising! Very inspirational. :)
ReplyDelete~Jess
Eh, it happens
DeleteThanks :D
Wow, you are one sporty book blogger lady, B! I have fallen out of my good regime from before Easter. Time to step up and do something about it. Sitting on my ass in front of the computer isn't good for the body, but great for my mind ;)
ReplyDeleteI think I should try cleaning out some books in my shelf with that 50 pages practise. I am sure I have loads of book sitting there, just being meh and I don't even know it yet. Nest week there is a charity book sale nearby, it would have been great to donate some of them then. I think I need to make a plan for this :D Thanks for being so inspiring! Happy Sunday :) I will skip on over to YouTube now and find my Yoga workout.
Thank you :D I am trying my best. Cos soon the classes will end for the summer, sucks!
DeleteIt's is SO freeing. I feel so much lighter. I have also donated 30 books to a local branch of my library. She was superhappy which made me superhappy
I didn't know what piloxing was, I've learned something today, thanks ! Sorry about all your DNFs but hey, beautiful pictures !
ReplyDeleteEh who cares :)
DeleteAnd thanks :D
Piloxing was....kind of meh actually
sorry to see these books weren't for you, they're new to me.
ReplyDeleteI can't say I care :) I tried, they are out, my shelf looks better. new me
DeleteSo many dnf's! I hope they were all library books and you didn't waste money on them.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures this week.
What is piloxing? I was horrible working out this week. We had plumbers here and I couldn't go anywhere or do anything all week :-(
Karen @For What It's Worth
Let me think.... I won 2, I got two via this book change sute
DeletePilioxing is pilates+boxing. I did not really care for it, I liked bodycombat but here maybe it was the pilates that made it meh
1) Good job! oooo! Book fair????!!! FUN!
ReplyDelete2) bleh. I shall skip them.
The book fair is really boring, I mostly went for free candy, and pens
DeleteBoring Finnish books. But I did find this Swe book that I have wanted to try and since it is written in Swedish...well I can read it then
Great pics but sorry there were so many that didn't work for you
ReplyDeleteI am not bothered
DeleteYour workout schedule makes me want to gouge my own eyes out, lol (because I haven't done anything at all this week *shakes head bitterly *) I'm looking forward to a really painful session in the morning... Lots of DNFs, but oh well. They happen. We move on. The pics, as always, are really pretty! Enjoy your Sunday, Linda :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, mission accomplished!!!
DeleteHave fun with your painful session ;)
That they do. They are a part of life
Oh dear! Your dnfs are always highly entertaining! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you ;)
DeleteAw, you DNFed Abercrombie!
ReplyDeleteBTW That's a pretty yellow flower, I've never seen anything like that with such interesting petals.
~Mogsy

ReplyDeleteYou killed it with the exercise ... yay!! Lovely photos too
ReplyDeletePilates + Boxing? That just doesn't seem right - like polar opposites!! Great job this week!
ReplyDeleteMaybe that's why it did not feel that fun ;)
DeleteGorgeous pics! The DNF's always make me smile :-) Sorry they didn't work!
ReplyDeleteHihi, and do not feel sorry, I am glad to get rid of some books at least
