In exchange for an honest review
This one was fun. And lots of craziness.
Zoey has saved and saved so she could visit Alaska. But everything doesn't always turn out like it is meant to be. Alaska has its own ideas. As for Zoey, she kept pushing through, I liked her.
Graham loves Alaska, but he hates tourists. And hey I get it, it would be rather annoying to have tourists everywhere, drinking, destroying things, upping prices.
And then he owns this shitty restaurant that serves 3 dishes, and tourists love it.
But he still goes after her, I do love when the guy does the chasing. And they keep meeting each other under the worst circumstances.
They were just such a cute, fun couple, and I did like the Alaska setting a lot.
The Graham voice was just so, awww, perfect. That is when the narrator does well with a voice. She has a fun upbeat narration that was just right.
When Graham Barnett named his diner The Tourist Trap, he meant it as a joke. Now he's stuck slinging reindeer dogs to an endless parade of resort visitors who couldn't interest him less. Not even the sweet, enthusiastic tourist in the corner who blushes every time he looks her way...
Two weeks in Alaska isn't just the top item on Zoey Caldwell's bucket list. It's the whole bucket. One look at the mountain town of Moose Springs and she's smitten. But when an act of kindness brings Zoey into Graham's world, she may just find there's more to the grumpy local than meets the eye...and more to love in Moose Springs than just the Alaskan wilderness.
Sounds like a fun book!

DeleteI really like the setting of this one. My parents were set to go on an Alaskan cruise before the virus broke out. I hope to be able to visit one day too!

DeleteThe narrator seems to have made this story even better. I like Alaska as a book setting but don't want to visit!

ReplyDeleteListening to this one now. I'm a bit irritated with how everyone laughs at Zoey's misfortunes. But it's good so far.
