TMST

Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post where bloggers discuss a wide range of topics from books and blogging to life in general. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog. Feel free to leave your links in the comments if you are participating.

12/14/2021 What's the hardest part about blogging for you?

It really depends.

*Sometimes the hardest is getting those reviews written.

*Sometimes it is the doubt that why do I even do this? So much time, does anyone out there even read this? Yes, doubt

*And there are all new mediums, insta, tiktok, should I do it all? Should I care?

*But in the end, hey, I am good with my routines. Sure these days I do not read and listen as much, and might be a week behind on commenting. But I love finding new books and talking books. If it is hard, then it is worth it

  1. Oh yes... I forgot to mention that sometimes visiting other blogs is the hardest part. I get behind and then it's overwhelming.

    1. I am all, I am sure I visited yesterday and then a week has gone by!

  2. I think if we like or love to do something, there are times it might be hard but it's worth it. I do like sharing my thoughts on a platform that is perhaps not as quick as social media but at least the people are friendly and I can take my time posting or not.

    Have a lovely day.

  3. I agree. I love blogging but sometimes it's hard and I don't get to commenting as much as I would like.

  4. I usually find that I'm either well ahead on reviews, or super behind. There is no happy medium for me. For me, though, the biggest struggle is always balancing the books I have to read with the books that I want to read. It has taken me years to find that balance.

  5. It's so much harder than you think it will be.

To do it long term you have to read ALL the time then post, then visit and now all these other SM sites to stay connected. It's a lot.

I just do my own thing now. If I'm not in the mood then so be it.

  6. I tried to do more on social media and even following more and more blogs, but then I had to find my limits- balance is good. :)

    1. I tried tiktok but it was no fun if I wasn't on camera, and I am way to introvert for that

  7. I think the hardest part for me is writing the reviews. Sometimes I just have no idea what to say.

  8. Great Question, blogging is easy and it's the toughest thing I do too. It's amazing to me that when I worked full time I had the time to review 15+ books/month for several publications, run my blog and read books on my wish list too. Now somedays I can't even lift my laptop LOL. I think the hardest part for me is the balancing act because I take care of my disabled husband. Some days I have all to myself and somedays I can't find an extra minute and I agree with all of you I want to comment more but gahhh where does the time go and I do have to sleep.
    Thanks Blodeuedd

    1. Where does the time go? It is a mystery. I used to be like that too, juggling everything and now I can barely lift a book, thank goodness for audio

  10. Yep, for me it's definitely getting those reviews written!

  11. The more succesful you are, the more work it is. The less time for actually enjoying a book. When I moved, I was without internet for 6 months, so I got out of the habit of blogs and social media, never really missed most of it. Other hobies took over.

    1. I can totally see that happening! I am glad it worked out

  12. Another great topic! For me, when I started I wondered if anyone would even read what I posted. But over the past year or so, I haven't posted as much because of being involved in different projects, so the hardest thing now is to get back into it, hopefully in 2022. Hope you've all been doing well. Sending lots of hugs, RO

    1. I can see that, getting back into things does sound hard. But I hope you will do whatever fits you best :D

  13. Everything you said, though for the doubt part, I try not to dwell on it much. I have my small clique and I know I'm blogging for them at least, if not for a large audience.

    1. That I know too :) But that doubt lingers from early on. It never really went away
