My Thoughts:
This was a cute and short one. But dang that girl was blind.

Sally is a geek. Her best friend is named Hooker (...ok.) But first, Hooker, what is wrong with you? Ok so yes it is kind of nice that you want your friend to be happy, but stop it with all the blind dates, like no means no. And why can't a 17 year old never had a boyfriend? Maybe she wants to wait for someone actually worthy.

Onward! Her BFF is called Becks. He is the most popular kid in school and she fancies him. Why she never even could imagine that he could fancy her book I do not know, I mean it was obvious but ok. She was a bit too blind.

Fake boyfriend scheme! Oh why do they do this? Do they never think how awkward it will be when it ends!? But yes it is fun. They pretend and they obvi like each other.

Beck's brothers were a bit creepy in a way, stop flirting with her, I mean it feels like flirting...it was weird.

But hey it is a cute short book. There is drama cos hello all things must end before they can start.

Narrator Andrea Emmes
Good job, she was perfect for YA

Blurb
Seventeen-year-old Sally Spitz is done with dating. Or at least, she's done with the horrible blind dates/hookups/sneak attacks her matchmaking bestie, Hooker, sets her up on. There's only so much one geek girl and Gryffindor supporter can take.

Her solution: she needs a fake boyfriend. And fast.

Enter Becks, soccer phenom, all-around-hottie, and Sally's best friend practically since birth. When Sally asks Becks to be her F.B.F. (fake boyfriend), Becks is only too happy to be used. He'd do anything for Sal--even if that means giving her PDA lessons in his bedroom, saying she's "more than pretty," and expertly kissing her at parties.

The problem: Sally's been in love with Becks all her life--and he's completely clueless.

This book features two best friends, one special edition Yoda snuggie, countless beneath-the-ear kisses and begs the question:

Who wants a real boyfriend when faking it is so much more fun?

  1. Sounds like this one had a few problems, but the cuteness factor won out in the end!

  4. This sounds like a cute read. I will have to remember if for the next time I am looking for something light.

  5. It's a cute premise, but why make her 17? Why should a 17 year old have to have a boyfriend and be constantly set up. It would suit me better if the characters were a bit older. Thanks!

    1. It did bug me. They were so obsessed getting a guy for her. Let the girl be!
