DNFS

Daughter of Siena
At 120 pages I just Let it Go.
I read in a 1 star review that it was supposed to be about the city. Who cares about the city! I want to read about people and care. If you can make the city thing work, then good. But here I was bored.

A Vision of Fire
Oh Gillian Anderson, give me the book! Oh bad move. Just cos someone famous had a tiny part in it does not mean it is good. And not my genre. Bored.

Pills and starships
It could have been good, but the writing was slow, and the whole writing to an imaginary friend thing, no. It dragged

13 to life
YA PNR, my bad! DNF. Yawn

  2. Wow, you guys got a lot of snow!

And sorry about the DNFs, none of them were on my TBR, but I was actually kind of curious about the Gillian Anderson book...

    1. Eh..I would call this almost nothing, I mean you can see stuff under the snow. A heavy frost at most

You can try it, but so boring for me

  4. I thought about trying Gillian Anderson. I haven't seen a single good review. You are the first reviewer I know that has tried it. She needs to go back to acting, I guess.

    Gorgeous pictures as always.

  5. Glad you got some good exercise time in this week and pretty pictures.

Bummer about the Daughter of Siena, that looked good. I like the focus to be on the characters, too.

    1. That one was the one I tried to like the hardest, but after 120 where I disliked everything I had to say no

  6. Beautiful photos. Ugh, too bad about the DNFs. I think I'm going to dnf the book I just started and it sucks.

  7. Still not winter here in Utrecht, but perhaps this week will see some nightfrost. And imagine, Sullivan McPig lives 2 hours away, and they had piles of ice in the streets for days...

  15. I tried one of Fiorato's books and hated it so I'm skipping this one. I wanted to like Gillian Anderson's book but had to do some heavy skipping to make it.

  18. I missed these Sunday posts of yours, Linda :) I see you're still kicking butt - and it's not at all surprising to me, since you're a superstar! What's the story with that decorated tree that looks like it's standing on the edge of a forest?! Also, yes, pity about the DNFs, but that's life... Great post!

  21. I just got back on the treadmill tonight after the holiday rush and being sick. Not my best effort, but I did it. I need to pick up the pace and get moving.

Always love seeing your pictures from your walks. :)
