TMST: Fluffy reads

Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post on Rainy Day Ramblings where Rainy discuss a wide range of topics from books to blogging. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog.

February 6th: What are some light, fluffy, feel good books you have read lately?

It seemed like such an easy question, but then I started looking, and many of those light reads had darker aspects. Or those fluffy reads that suspense in them. Or the feel good ones has sadness too. So no pure light and fluffy all the way.

But

Brown is always light and feel good. They are always happy and people fall in love. There is nothing like a Brown book.

This was my latest one in August.

Burrowes always has sweet couples and feel good times. Sure, this series that I read the least has murder investigations, thieves to find and more. But still they are just so darn cute.

This paranormal romance/fantasy/UF was light. I have no idea how she did it since people die (or well demons), but was filled with humour and it made it cute. I finished it last summer.

A cute YA book (audio a must) that takes place in our world and another world. Yes there is sadness and questions but it was light in writing.

And this was the cute ones from the last 6 months :)

Of course chic-lit is always fun, but sadly none of that lately. Light or feel good an be found everywhere.

  6. I don't think I've read any light/fluffy reads lately but it is nice when you need a change of pace.

  7. I think even fluffy reads have that one black moment. I tried to find ones where it was just a short blip to an otherwise fun romance.

    1. True. That is why it was hard, cos some of the fluffy ones have very sad times or dark. I wanted the fluffiest of the fluff

  9. A Corner of White! I loved that book when I read it, but never finished the series. My latest fluffy read was A Duke in Shining Armor by Loretta Chase: a sweet, silly, funny historical romance. :)

  14. Nice, when I need a light fluffy read, I tend to go for urban fantasy or YA (though getting a bad YA book can actually backfire and raise my blood pressure, lol)

    1. Oh yes! Ya can be so nice and fluffy, but when it backfires I just get mad instead. It is a fine line

  15. Carolyn Brown's books would definitely make my light reading list. I still need to start that Grace Burrowes series. I always think of Eve Langlais' books as light and fun for PNR or SFR.

  16. I am so sad I got cut of from NG. Fantasy and UF is always first on my to buy list. Romance always gets pushed aside

  18. I think all of mine would have darker aspects or suspense in them. That is just what I read for the most part. I would be picking Molly Harper and Eve Langlais. They always make me laugh, which is fluffy for me. :-)
