TMST: Thrillers

Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post on Rainy Day Ramblings where Rainy discuss a wide range of topics from books to blogging. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog.

October 2nd:What Thrillers have you read in the past few months that you would recommend for the Halloween Season?

I am trying to read more thrillers, but.... *crickets* It does not seem to happen! It's easy to forget to put something down as thrillers so I might have made a mistake, but as it stand now I have read 2 this year *coughs*

2017 I read 3
2016 1
2015 none

But then there are those that hey some might say they are thrillers. His fic I have put down as mystery for example. And others. But yes as it stands this year I have one to recommend.

You can only hide for so long...

Lizzie Bradshaw. A student from the Lake District, forced to work away from home, who witnesses a terrible crime. But who will ultimately pay the price?

Emma Taylor. A mother, a wife, and a woman with a dangerous secret. Can she keep her beloved family safely together?

Stella Taylor. A disaffected teenager, determined to discover what her mother is hiding. But how far will she go to uncover the truth?

And one man, powerful, manipulative and cunning, who controls all their destinies.

Ohhh, yes this was a good one! This one I recommend now for October

Excerpt from my review:

I must say, well done, well done! I love a good twists and here I got several. Let me show you.

I think, no, yes, no. Dang!
Oh no, oh oh oh no! Whaat?
.....NO WAY!

  3. Thanks for sharing. I tend to love thrillers by women authors. They tend to think like I do unlike male authors who don't

  9. I don't think that I have ever seen a cat do that before! I like thrillers but seem to be picking up more romance lately. I go in spurts.

  10. I love mixing it up with a few thrillers. I've been doing that more often this year, and it's an awesome pick-me-up between longer/heavier books. Listening to thrillers in audio is also amazingly addictive!

  12. Ohh girl. You need to read Bird Box by Josh Malerman. I absolutely love the sinister atmosphere. It's freaking creepy as hell but you don't really see anything scary! All psychological, I suppose. So good!

  13. I think my Karen Rose reads count as thriller romances and a few others, but I don't read as many as I think sound interesting. I'll have to look that one up.
