TMST

Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post on Rainy Day Ramblings where Rainy discuss a wide range of topics from books to blogging. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog.

May 21st: Are most of your review books for publishers or are you reviewing books of your choice?

These days I do review mostly for publishers. And that is because I listen to so many audiobooks, the one print I manage once a week is usually one of my own.

But all that I do review are those of my own choice. Ugh, that has me thinking. I am starting work in 2 months! I will have no audio time! I will never read again *laments*.

The review books are the ones where I take chances, my own, not so much, fantasy fantasy fantasy. SO thank you publishers for letting me take those chances I otherwise would not

  1. Most of my books come for publishers too but I've gotten so I just read what I want.

  5. I've been scaling way back on review books from publishers, I'm not attending any conferences so I'm almost all library or current TRB pile books.

  6. Most of the books I write a review for are review books. I usually only write a few sentences on GRs and maybe on my Sunday Post about any other book that I've read, because I just don't have the energy to do any more than that usually. Sad but true. :)

  7. Yep, mostly publishers. But a lot of the books I get for review are books I probably would have picked up on my own too, so it works out!

  8. I don't have a little one at home keeping me busy so my review books are about half and half print and audio.
I'm with you on taking more chances with review books or library borrows and going with the sure things when it's out of pocket.
