TMST

Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post on Rainy Day Ramblings where Rainy discuss a wide range of topics from books to blogging. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog.

August 27th: Why do you read blog posts?

Because I could not see myself blogging into emptiness about books. That is how it would be.

I read blog posts because I like to see what everyone else is reading. Just for the fun of it. Or to get a few new books to put on my wishlist. Or to get a yet another opinion on that book I really want but can't make my mind up about.

And like I said before, what is the fun of writing about books if I do not read other blogs too. I like out book community.

  3. Same. I also like to see what people are doing besides reading. I like those posts as much as reading book reviews.

  4. Same. I don't see the point of blogging if you can't chat and *meet* new people. I don't want to do it just for people to visit my blog. That's boring to me.

  5. Yep... I like reading what my friends are up to, what they liked, if they found something I might like...

  6. I agree, blogging would be boring if we didn’t have the interaction. I would have quit a long time ago if it weren’t for all of my blogging friends.

  8. I think a lot of blogging is about socializing and I love socialzing with fellow bloggers with similar interest.

  9. I feel like it's my way of connecting with fellow booklovers. It's a little depressing to read in a vacuum with no one to share your passion and this fills that need up. :)

  10. I agree! I love the interaction with blogging, it wouldn't be half so fun if I wasn't checking out what everyone else was reading and sharing our thoughts :D

    1. It would just be me and my book, which is good, but this is better

  11. Yes, it is so much better when it goes both ways. And, yes, it's great for finding new to me books and getting other opinions.

  13. I agree. I don't just read book blogs though because I don't just post book reviews. I like meeting new people and getting to know others.
