TMST

Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post on Rainy Day Ramblings where Rainy discuss a wide range of topics from books to blogging. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog.

September 10th: Are there authors/books that everyone seems to love but you don’t?

This is hard to say, because many authors that many loves I have not tried, because I think they might not be the best fit for me.

I am drawing a complete blank here!

Oh oh, Sarah Maas. Sorry, not sorry!

And again, YA fantasy, scifi, paranormal. The only YA that works is lit fic.

  1. Too many to name but the most recent big book that everyone, but me, loved was Where the Crawdads Sing.

  5. I really never got into YA contemporary. It took me years to even read adult contemporary romances that didn't have a subgenre like suspense or paranormal etc. I do like women's fiction though.

  6. I know that there are books that I didn't care for but everyone seems to love but I can't think of any authors. Hard question.

  8. Hmm, the one big name that immediately comes to my mind is Neil Gaiman - his stuff is usually too weird and abstract for me, so no thank you!

  9. I've got a few, but mostly its not an author so much as one book of theirs that I couldn't get into and others did. I've not tried Sarah Maas yet, but I did walk away from Karen M. Moning's series b/c I got frustrated with the heroine.
