TMST

Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post on Rainy Day Ramblings where Rainy discuss a wide range of topics from books to blogging. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog.

February 18th: Who are some of the recent debut/ new to me authors that impressed you?

That is kind of hard, I never know who is a debut or not. You think one is and then you see they already published something before.

I did like Nicholas Eames, and I hope his book 2 is as good!

Same with Ed McDonald. I have enjoyed his fantasy series this year.

I tried Stephanie Burgis for the first time last year too, fun times!

And I so need to read more by Abdi Nazemian

Oh Jessie Mihalik was also a first in the last year! Another great one

Sam Hawke is another author I want more from.

I have read a lot of interesting new to me authors in the last year :D

  4. I don't really look to see if this is their debut book but if it's in the description somewhere then I take note of it. The Pain Eater by Courtney Diles was one of those books.

  6. I have such a hard time keeping up with how many books an author has written as well. Ed McDonald is really good!

  8. Hmm, my most recent one was probably A Witch in Time by Constance Sayers - it was odd, but fun to read!

  9. I'm pretty sure I tried a half dozen brand new authors, but didn't realize it was their first book, but there are so many established authors I am trying for the first time each year, too. Fun to see their writing get better with each book.
