TMST: 2021

Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post where bloggers discuss a wide range of topics from books and blogging to life in general. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog. Feel free to leave your links in the comments if you are participating.

Resolutions/words of the year - do you do them? What are they for 2021?

I never do them, because I ultimately fail. I do have wishes for 2021, like Covid calming down, people getting vaccinated. Life moving on.

SO here is my wishing post

We do FINALLY have our house ready, ok not ready, the workroom is filled with boxes, the garage needs to be finished and we have no yard. I do want more finished things!

But anyway I really want this to be a year with my daughter. Her father was so busy last year with finishing the house.  I want to go to the beach that is now close by, I want to take lots of bikerides to explore by road too. I want to with a friend find these rocks/caves somewhere in the woods where the people of this village hid 300 years ago in the middle of winter from marauding Russians. I want to take hikes, I hope that something kid friendly can be organized this year so we can attend with her. She keeps talking of things we did in -19 and hopefully next November maybe things can be held .

That's it!

EXPLORE

That is my word for 2021

We have already begun :)

Next week

Bookish jobs: if you could do something in the bookish world for employment, what would you choose and why

  1. EXPLORE is a word full of magic! My home situation would forbid me from going out much even without Covid, but at least I can explore book worlds. I hope you can do much more than that with your family!

    1. Not really a problem here, we bought a big parcel of land and built a house, and after that comes woods for miles :) I did run into our neighbors once though, very surprising.

  5. OMG - that was awesome. How you started the post with no word and found one along the way. Also, I would love to be that friend to explore with you. If that pesky ocean and whole continent didn't separate us.

Damn that ocean! I will let you know if we find those caves, we have no freaking idea and there are no records, but people have been there, but how to find those damn people

  9. That will be so nice when your house is finally done and your things in their places. Sounds like the surrounding area is full of fascinating things to feed your exploration.

  11. I love your word choice for the year. I was hoping we'll be able to do more exploring this year, but that's not looking possible at the moment. Sigh.
