To review

Widow meets a no good rakish businessman, and ultimately falls in love.

Holly loved her husband and mourns him still after 3 years. But she also wants something more now than to live under her inlaws roof.

Zach grew up poor, fought his way to the top, is ruthless in business, and wants to be a part of the ton. But the ton only like their own kind.

They meet, he is smitten. But he is also a no good rake, and hey, single and enjoying the good life. Who am I to tell him not to sleep with ladies of the night. The man has issues and it takes him a long time to realise who he wants, and then he stops.

He has his demons, she has her own, but they get their in the end.

Drama, romance and a proposition you can't say no to

I have listened to Landor many times before, and I always enjoy her narrations of historical romance. She does it well with a feel of the era

Zachary Bronson has built an empire of wealth and power. Now he is seeking a wife to help secure his position in the ton . . . as well as warm his bed in private. But not just any woman will do for one of London's most notorious rakes. When he meets Lady Holly Taylor, he surrenders to the temptation to take her in his arms and kiss her. Yet he's pleasantly surprised to discover her fierce passions match his own.

Lady Holly Taylor is destined to spend her life playing by society's rules even when they go against her bolder instincts. But Zachary's kiss arouses her, and though his shocking offer doesn't include marriage, she is compelled to risk everything for the most forbidden passion.

  6. Love Lisa Kleypas! Didn't realize she had a new one out. I'll have to request from my library. RL is a good narrator, but sometimes her male voices are a bit odd.
