Is this really my 2nd time listening? Omg, what was I thinking. I was sure I had done a re-listen before. I mean I am sure I did the rest twice...anyway. I LOVE THIS BOOK,

I have read it, meh, I have listened, YES!!! Listen is the way

I know the story, but still I could not stop listening. This is the series that will keep you on your edge, craving more

LISTEN TO IT NOW! Alexandra Harris is AMAZING narrating

As a cassandra sangue, or blood prophet, Meg Corbyn can see the future when her skin is cut - a gift that feels more like a curse. Meg's Controller keeps her enslaved so he can have full access to her visions. But when she escapes, the only safe place Meg can hide is at the Lakeside Courtyard - a business district operated by the Others.

Shape-shifter Simon Wolfgard is reluctant to hire the stranger who inquires about the Human Liaison job. First, he senses she's keeping a secret, and second, she doesn't smell like human prey. Yet a stronger instinct propels him to give Meg the job. And when he learns the truth about Meg and that she's wanted by the government, he'll have to decide if she's worth the fight between humans and the Others that will surely follow.

  1. I didn't like the later installments but I did absolutely love the first book.

I wonder if audio would have been better for me though.

  7. I read this in 2017 and intended to keep reading the rest of the series. I have no idea why I didn't. But I've wanted to reread and then continue for a while - good to know that audio is the way to go on my second approach!
