Charlotte has no prospects except for one guy so he has to due. Her uncle and aunt will kick her out if she does not marry. Such aholes. And her almost fiance does seem nice, or?

Enter her dead brother´s best friend. Kidnapping. Snowstorm, stranded at a country inn pretending to be married. But seriously Finn! What was your plan? Ruin her chances? Marry her at least you idiot? But then he had no plan, he just did not want her to marry the other guy, cos he is not nice at all.

They grow closer, there is a lot of time spent at the inn getting to know people. And then life must continue. 

Of course they end up happily ever after, but they have some drama to get through first.

Enjoyable.

A good narration. I am not sure if I have  listened to this narrator before, but she had a nice voice that fit the era and story well.

The beloved "sunshine" of the ton, Miss Charlotte Chapman, is trapped in the carriage with an utter madman. There's simply no other explanation for it. Why else would the rough, reclusive Earl of Trevelyan—her deceased brother's most beloved friend—sweep her away during a terrible snowstorm without explanation?
