Ben's ex was a piece of work, ugh, now I have to start my review thinking of her. What a privileged brat.

Nic is smart, successful and all about her career. I get her drive, but she sure had issues with letting a man get close.

Ben wants a real family, and hey I get that too.His parents was never around, like never. He wants a family that is close and around. And no doctors cos they are too busy. I really liked Ben, he just wanted that he never had growing up.

Fake relationship. Oh we know those always get people to hook up. Insert some ex drama, and tension when two people who want different things want each other.

I enjoyed it. Though why is is called girls trip?

Good narrator, some of the voices weren't always that distinct, but it did not matter. It was easy following along. She made it light and breezy

Driven and focused, Dr. Nicole Allen is an accomplished surgeon. With a tough past, Nic’s gone above and beyond everyone’s expectations. But when she disciplines an intern—a powerful donor’s son—a prestigious fellowship she’s awaiting is placed in jeopardy.

Coming from a successful family who runs a medical business empire, Benjamin Reed Van Mont is the black sheep, having chosen to start his own business instead. Though he’s not ready to settle down, he knows when the time comes it definitely won’t be with a workaholic doctor like his friend Nic—even if she’s had him re-examining his edict…more than once.

When Ben’s status-climbing ex-girlfriend finds her way back into his orbit, Nic proposes a swap of services. She’ll spend the week with Ben on Martha’s Vineyard, pretending to be his girlfriend—but only if he’ll have his family intervene on her behalf so she won’t lose her fellowship. How hard can the charade be?

But as they’re about to discover, they’ve sorely underestimated their true feelings for each other…

  2. It does sound like the title doesn't really match the story that's being told, but this still seems like a fun listen. Even if it doesn't really go beyond the conventions of those fake romance stories.

When you say it, then yes what is up with the title, and the series title. Weird

  4. I love books about fake relationships! Bummer this one wasn't entirely accurate, since you were expecting one thing and got another. I also don't like it when a narrator doesn't have distinct voices for the different characters. It throws me off! Happy you still enjoyed it! :)

  11. Ooh, I am not too big into the fake relationship trope, like you said say you know how it all goes because it's just far too common!
