2/22/2022 Has a book by your favourite author ever disappointed you badly?
Don't they all in the end? Ok not all, but yes even if you love an author that doesn't mean everything they write will be 5 stars for 50 years. And that is ok, you love some, some are meh, some might be bad. That is life
3/1/2022 If you could have any job in the world, what would it be and why?
3/8/2022 Share a new-to-you series you love.
3/15/2022 Would you like to be paid to blog/write reviews
?
3/22/2022 How do you choose what to read next?
3/29/2022 Do you leave blog comments? Do you respond to comments left on your blog?
Agreed. No everything can be a winner
ReplyDeleteExactly
DeleteVery true. I find that the issues aren't so much that their writing has suddenly changed (though that happens now and then), but they write a trope, plot point, or character that isn't my cuppa tea.
ReplyDeleteYes! We can't love all those tropes etc
DeleteYes recently I was disappointed by one, it had something in it I didn't see coming. But I won't abandon the author!
ReplyDeleteIf the continue being bad then yes then I leave
DeleteOh yeah, it's happened before!
ReplyDeleteIt does happen
DeleteI agree 100%! It's impossible to have every book an author writes be 5 stars!
ReplyDeleteIt just does not happen
DeleteI have read less than wonderful books from favorite authors, but they haven't disappointed me completely. But there have been some books that put an end to me reading a series. Those are major disappointments.
ReplyDeleteYes some are not as good, but I can continue, and then there ae those is this even the same author ones?
DeleteIf you follow any author long enough there will be something you don't love.
ReplyDeleteThe first time hurts a little lol but then you move on.

The first cut is always the deepest, lol
DeleteEven with a favorite author there can be hits and misses. It happens.
ReplyDeleteHard not to
DeleteAlways the philosopher LOL.
ReplyDeletehehe
DeleteYeah, some books won't be as good as others. I will still pick up that author's work again.
ReplyDeleteTrue. Guess it goes with the fact that no book will ever be universally loved! Which is great because otherwise we'd have no variety :)
