In exchange for an honest review

Space, ruled by different people, isn't that how it always is. Rory is a princess, 13 fairies show up to give her gifts (why hadn't fairies been seen for 500 years? And that means fairies where from earth?)

Anyway, her dad is assassinated, her brother is a little d*ck. She is sent to marry a prince, cos alliances are always needed.

I would have liked to learn more about the universe, the aliens? I know nothing about them. And more about these different worlds and where they were. But it was still an interesting concept.

I liked Rory, she was not tough or kick-ass, she was just normal and can see through BS thanks to gifts/curses.

And then she wrecks the multiverse, just as the title says. It ends and it feels like an ending, but it seems more is to come, which is weird, cos it really felt like an ending.

Good book, YA, but never felt YA (which that I mean no triangle, no angst, no bs ;) Wait, is it even YA? Cos it sure did not feel adult either so I will call it YA.

Narration
Good narrator. I have listened to her before. Though at times she did loose who was talking, but for most of the time there were distinct voices

Rory Thorne is a princess with 13 fairy blessings, the most important of which is to see through flattery and platitudes. As the eldest daughter, she always imagined she'd inherit her father's throne and govern the interplanetary Thorne Consortium.

Then, her father is assassinated, her mother gives birth to a son, and Rory is betrothed to the prince of a distant world.

When Rory arrives in her new home, she uncovers a treacherous plot to unseat her newly betrothed and usurp his throne. An unscrupulous minister has conspired to name himself Regent to the minor (and somewhat foolish) prince. With only her wits and a small team of allies, Rory must outmaneuver the Regent and rescue the prince.

My Thoughts:
I had issues, and the nail in the coffin was when I fell asleep and did not care to go back and listen to 15 min or so. Oh and when I sped it up even more cos I just wanted it to end.

I did not care for Raven. She had killed a lot of people, but then we learn that she does not know to fight and her magic is not as good as the real breeds...right, and she took down dangerous baddies how? Supposedly by luring them in..right.
Oh and she is an idiot. Think woman! There was this situation and she effed up, and then she got applauds and I was all ...riiight.
I do not need someone kickass but at least I want smart.
She was too much, too honorable, and then not. Too smart mouthed, always. Too much.

Christian who I guess is the love interest was too much. Not even the accent saved him. Always with the smart mouth. He came of sleazy in the end. Ugh, no thanks.

The gang was, sigh, why did those people get picked?

Why do breed despise humans when some of them were humans like a year ago.

And I wish the story had been more, well plausible. Things happened way too easily.

By a saving grace it will get an ok rating

Narrator.
She made it better, but not even she could save this train wreck. Would have been a dnf without the narration

Blurb:
When the road forks, how do you know which path is the right one? Raven Black hunts evildoers for fun, but her vigilante justice isn't the only reason she's hiding from the law. Half Vampire, half Mage, she's spent years living as a rogue to stay alive. When a Russian Shifter offers her a job in his covert organization hunting outlaws, dignity and a respectable career are finally within her grasp. The catch? Her new partner is Christian Poe-a smug, handsome Vampire whom she'd rather stake than go on a stakeout with. They're hot on the trail of a human killer who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. One misstep during her probationary period could jeopardize Raven's chance at redemption, and her partner would love nothing more than to see her fail. Dark secrets, unexpected twists, and a blurred line between good and evil will keep you on the edge of your seat. Will Raven find the courage to succeed, or will she give in to her dark nature?

Audio Review: Stung - Bethany Wiggins

Fiona doesn’t remember going to sleep. But when she opens her eyes, she discovers her entire world has been altered—her house is abandoned and broken, and the entire neighborhood is barren and dead. Even stranger is the tattoo on her right hand—a black oval with five marks on either side—that she doesn’t remember getting but somehow knows she must cover at any cost. She’s right.

Those bearing the tattoo have turned into mindless, violent beasts that roam the streets and sewers, preying upon the unbranded while a select few live protected inside a fortress-like wall, their lives devoted to rebuilding society and killing all who bear the mark.

Now Fiona has awakened branded, alone—and on the wrong side of the wall.

Stung #1
Dystopia/YA

My thoughts:
It has been some time since I read a dystopia. Here everything is dead cos humans are stupid. Sigh, do not mess with nature! We sure know how to destroy things. And yes the world turned to crap. People that are lucky hide behind walls. Beyond them it is every man for himself. Cos either you starve to death or the beasts kill you. Sucks being you!

And to this Fiona awakens without a single memory. She does have a tattoo, just like the beasts. So little by little we learn why there are tattoos, and what the beasts are and why the world went to hell.

Fiona is lost, so you can't blame her for making mistakes. She really does not know a single thing. Though to be honest, yes there will be romance, obviously, and that sure happened fast, but hey at least there is no triangle ;)

She needs to figure what is going on. She needs to survive and the worlds needs saving. I did enjoy it since I wanted to know why things were as they were.

One thing though. Trading with honey? Everything is dead. I'd rather have some real meat or chocolate. Who cares about honey? I have not had honey in a year. Give me chocolate!

Even though there is another book this one wraps up fairly nicely. It felt like we could be happy and leave it like this. I did feel that was a nice touch. No evil cliffie lurking, but still there are things to be done.

Narrator Nicole Poole
A good steady voice, I liked her male and female voices. Nothing felt overly male or female. I really do not have more to say. She was good, the book worked perfectly on audio and I do feel it should be listened too, rather than read. Cos then the little things wont bug ya.
