Marley Cartman is fed up with arrogant rich guys who treat her like garbage, so she vows to only date men with modest paychecks and a little dirt under their nails.
Her new boss, William Barclay, is exactly the kind of man she's trying to avoid: an eccentric millionaire with duct shape shoes and an unexplained vendetta against her.
But as Will and Marley butt heads over grumpy badgers and phallic artifacts, they discover that sometimes the opposite of what you want is exactly what you need.
My thoughts:
I liked this one, it was funny and the innuendos thrown around were very amusing.
We have Marley, who wants to date only blue-collar men. She is sick of the rich stupid ones. Marley, Marley, there are stupid rich men and stupid poor men. Anyway her dating adventures are rather hilarious.
Will tries to keep things lively at the organization on which board he sits. He is Marley's boss then in a way too, and a grumpy old lady said no fooling around with employees. Will was always joking around but he had a vulnerable side too as he had a hard time with trust after his marriage broke apart.
They meet before they know who they really are. And the rest of the book they try to be friends but fail miserable cos passion can't be denied, but oh they try.
Conclusion:
Fun and cute.
