.................................

DNF TIME

I have been so lazy with those dnfs lately so here is one big posts. Should be all this year.

Verdict: All Meh. Also who can guess which cover is the ugliest?

Looking glass: It felt good, but omg so boring. I started to skim and whatever, dnf

Romanitas: Why was it so dull? Sad

Shadows on the Nile: I never began to care

An arranged marriage: Rape doesn't really say historical romance to me

A lot of pride and prejudice: What was up with that beginning?!

I still dream about you: Depressing

Divas don't knit: I did read half of it, it was not bad, but not great either

A secret in salem: So not the freebie for me

Gatecrasher: I do not like her...

The feather and the moon: I just can not. Bored and confused

Snakewood: I am just too confused. I can not read this.
I have no idea what the timeframe is, they keep jumping back and fort in time. I think, I know it, but I never know who or where... The POV keeps on changing. I have no idea who is who, who is who now or where, or... I am confused.

The last days of rabbit hays: It was good, but boring at the same time. It felt nice, but too many POVS . I just went meh

Tell the wolves I am home: Meh beginning and also, the tiny text...tiny!

His good opinion: Not a dnf cos it was bad, but because it was the story from his POV. Meh

Desired by the alien boss: Just no

Chosen by the alien lord *shakes head*

The beauty of destruction: My bad, it did not work reading this when I had not read the previous ones

  1. I can't believe you have snow on the ground still! My book club read Tell the Wolves I'm Home last year because one member said it was the best book she's ever read. I thought it was just okay.

  2. Your DNFs sound just like my DNFs...weird. Next time show the photo of the wolf! Yesterday I saw a buzzard btw!

  3. I haven't heard of any of those so I guess I'm safe :-)

  4. So many DNFs. I usually enjoy Sophie Kinsella, but I haven't heard of this one.

  5. Lynx? Wolf?! Are you living among the shifters?

  6. Is Gatecrasher new? I love Kinsella, not aware of this novel. Too bad it's a DNF

  7. Lynx tracks, wolf tracks - both would have been cool regardless! You are lucky to have so much wildlife close by. Not so happy about all the DNFs though, sorry for those, but I know what you thought of Snakewood.

    1. The only one I would have liked to like was Snakewood, the rest had no hopes for those hehe

  8. I would love to come across a wolf or lynx from a safe distance. Sorry about the large number of DNF. Better luck with the next ones.

    1. AT least it was not bear tracks, those are scary

  9. I hope you don't have snow for too much longer...we finally seem to be warming up, though we did have a light snowfall last weekend - a 1/2 inch and it was all melted by morning. I would imagine tracking an animal, whatever it might be, could end up with you walking around for quite a while, which could lead to some long walks :)

    1. It was a 1,5 walk cos we lost the tracks then, and we never checked where it had disappeared to when we first saw it either. It went into the woods, I wonder where

  10. I wouldn't know the difference between the animal tracks, either. Glad you got a nice walk in.

I guess you did have a lot of DNFs to report on. I've read the His Good Opinion and liked it, but then I don't mind Darcy POV.
Hmm, don't think I have any of those others sitting on my Kindle though I probably have a pile of my own meh and ick ones to wade through.
Good that you're cleaning your shelves and moving on.

  11. I thought lynx was more likely, since they are around, and wolves have these big areas, also we know nothing about tracks either ;)

It's not that I minded it was just, I have 200 ebooks, I will not spend time on the exact story from another pov

  12. I was curious about Snakewood, but I hate being confused. I don't usually mind multiple POVs but I hate jumping in time! We have snow again too. :(

    1. It was so weird. I do not mind many POVS, but the whole jumping around

  14. Aw sorry these didn't work for you, heres to hoping for many more that do

  15. Oh wow, not sure I want to track an animal like a lynx because what if you catch up and it's a little ticked off that you followed? Lol! Great that you get outdoors even with the snow and cold.

Ack! I hate it when I can't get into a book. Sorry to see you had so many DNFs, but better to set it aside than waste your time on a mediocre story.

    1. But they are so cuuute! I would love to see one in rl, and not in a cage.

Exactly, why waste my time on that

  16. Dang that's a lot of DNFs. And following wolf tracks? Gah!
