September 10th: Are there authors/books that everyone seems to love but you don’t?
This is hard to say, because many authors that many loves I have not tried, because I think they might not be the best fit for me.
I am drawing a complete blank here!
Oh oh, Sarah Maas. Sorry, not sorry!
And again, YA fantasy, scifi, paranormal. The only YA that works is lit fic.

Too many to name but the most recent big book that everyone, but me, loved was Where the Crawdads Sing.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, not read that one
DeleteAh yes, Sarah Maas.
ReplyDeleteMy doom
DeleteI have to say I am actually very surprised when people like the same books as I do. Yes, dear Blodeuedd lady, I am looking at you... ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL, well I am surprised then too
DeleteSame, girl. Sameeee. I can't get into her books. :/
ReplyDeleteI know people adore them but just no
DeleteI couldn't really do this one. There are so many my list would be too long and bitchy sounding lol
ReplyDeleteKaren @ For What It's Worth
Lol, and i could not think of any even though I am sure there are a million
DeleteI really never got into YA contemporary. It took me years to even read adult contemporary romances that didn't have a subgenre like suspense or paranormal etc. I do like women's fiction though.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I really like it in audio :D Audio is funny that way
DeleteI know that there are books that I didn't care for but everyone seems to love but I can't think of any authors. Hard question.
ReplyDeleteI know right, my mind is drawing a blank
DeleteYep, Sarah Maas started out good for me but then I lose interest.
ReplyDeleteSame!
DeleteHmm, the one big name that immediately comes to my mind is Neil Gaiman - his stuff is usually too weird and abstract for me, so no thank you!
ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
I have only read Stardust, loved it!
DeleteI've got a few, but mostly its not an author so much as one book of theirs that I couldn't get into and others did. I've not tried Sarah Maas yet, but I did walk away from Karen M. Moning's series b/c I got frustrated with the heroine.
ReplyDeleteOh yes a big no on Moning, I got annoyed with the heroine too
DeleteWell, there is Carolyn Brown that you love and I didn't.
ReplyDeleteHow can you not!! ;)
DeleteOooft! I live Maas but I accept she's not for everyone. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is very love and hate :)
