One would think with a cast like this that it would be funnier?
Sure it had some good moments, but it was not the funny movie I had expected.
Rather dry at times, like the wine they drank.
Recommend or not: Hard to say, if there is nothing better on, then yes.

October 1st: What are some spooky books you would like to read this Fall?
I never really seek them out so no idea!

sorry it wasn't what you expected it kind of sounds like women's fiction only on film :)
ReplyDeleteThat it was
DeleteAmy Poehler can be a little over the top for me - it feels like she tries too hard sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI do like her, but here it did not try enough
DeleteThese are some of my fave actresses, so like you, I was expecting something a little different too. It did have a few good messages that I enjoyed quite a bit though. Hope you are doing well. Hugs, RO
ReplyDeleteI wanted more, alas
DeleteOh I didn't know about this one
ReplyDeleteNetflix it
DeleteThat movie didn't look very funny to me (despite the cast) so I skipped it.
ReplyDeleteTotally forgot TMST today lol I don't think I'd have an answer anyway.
Karen @ For What It's Worth
I am bad with horror so I skipped it.
DeleteAnd sigh, I expected much more
I've never seen that movie.
ReplyDeleteI don't really change up what I read for the different times of year.
Me neither
DeleteI've found that movies with huge casts never live up to the hype (maybe that is just me). Well, never is a strong word, maybe rarely is a better word.
ReplyDeleteI never change up my reading either. I love spooky books all year round.
Melanie @ Hot Listens & Books of My Heart
You are right, too many famous people, not enough plot
DeleteAw bummer, I usually like Amy Poehler.
ReplyDeleteYou can still give it a go
DeleteYeah, I thought this would be funnier with the cast they had, but it wasn't. Too much improv I think. I feel exactly the same way, watch it if you have nothing better to see.
ReplyDeleteA shame, but when nothing else is on, well then it s good enough
DeleteBummer. Such a good cast
ReplyDeleteI know right
DeleteOh I do love "wine" movies, another good one was Bottle Shock :)
ReplyDeleteI have to check it out
DeleteI sort of remember that movie coming out - but I'm glad I didn't pick it up. I hate when a large group of funny people aren't funny.
ReplyDeleteI don't do horror, but I do like UF, Fantasy and PNR... does that count?
Scary things in them so why not :D
DeleteYou sold me at Amy Poehler. Sorry you didn't enjoy it as much!
ReplyDeleteIt was good enough so watch it
DeleteThis one disappointed me too.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it coul d have been more
