TMST

Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post on Rainy Day Ramblings where Rainy discuss a wide range of topics from books to blogging. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog.

June 23: Books by Authors of Color (thanks to Jen at That's what I am talking about)

I seem to talk specific books, cos that is how I roll :) I will also list genres so then you can def find an author to try

PNR/contemporary romance: I have read and enjoyed Nalini Singh for years, but omg when I started her books in audio it was like another level for me.  Her paranormal books, her contemporary romance books!

Fantasy: R.F.Kuang. Ok so I have only read her first book, The Poppy War, but damn that shit got dark! It was fantasy that got really really dark and it was good, because sadly it was real. War is evil.

Historical romance: Jeannie Lin, I have enjoyed her historical romance books :D I need to read more by her!

Novella sci.fi: Ok so I have only read the novella, but you all need to read The murders of Molly Southbourne by Tade Thompson. That was FREAKY!

Fiction: The convenience store woman by Sayaka Murata. She had this easy way of writing.

Romance: Helen Hoang and her Kiss Quotient series!

Thriller: Oyinkan Braithwaite, My sister the serial killer. Light easy, with lots of dead bodies i Nigeria!

YA romance_ When Dimple met Rishi by Sandhya Menon. MUST LISTEN! I love Vikas Adam narration ;)

YA romance: To all the boys I have loved before series by Jennie Han

    1. Thank you 😊
I thought about it and realised that it was very romance oriented if i went in my original direction. This way everyone is bound to find smth 😁

  3. Love Nalini Singh, Helen Hoang, and Dimple. I'm sure there's other authors of color that I enjoy but my brain is too tired to come up with any. :)

  5. Good picks. Love Jeannie Lin and Nalini Singh. I need to get to that Jenny Han series at some point. And, My Sister the Serial Killer has been on my list since it released. So many books...

    1. It was so much fun :) And yes the movies were fun too.

It was so light, for a serial killer book

  6. I've read most of those authors. I love Elizabeth Acevedo (i saw her audio didn't work for you because of the verse), Adriana Herrara to name a few.

    1. It was just so weird, I do think reading would have been better for me :/ I mean I can hardly even do fantasy in audio to be honest. Some I need to read
