Dystopia
Library
Make it short! Yes I will try. I want to finish this review in October ;)
Dystopia. Dunno how the world fell, it just did. Dunno why plants are eating people. Some people use old tech and are aholes about it.
Koli grows up in a tiny village. He wonders about things and being an idiot he gets into trouble. Nothing goes his way.
The world seems to be a shitty place and is getting inbred.
I kind of liked and though meh at the same time. I liked it enough to read more, but only if the library has more. Which it does not. And I am ok with that too. But it was still more good than just ok
Beyond the walls of the small village of Mythen Rood lies an unrecognizable world. A world where overgrown forests are filled with choker trees and deadly vines and seeds that will kill you where you stand. And if they don't get you, one of the dangerous shunned men will. Koli has lived in Mythen Rood his entire life. He knows the first rule of survival is that you don't venture beyond the walls. What he doesn't know is - what happens when you aren't given a choice?
I was more on the meh side, even though I am a huge fan of the author. I still haven't picked up the second book yet, but I do have plans to continue.
ReplyDeleteVery conflicted, both good and meh, therefore if I do not read more than eh
DeleteIt's an author I want to try
ReplyDeleteThere are more :)
DeleteIt sounds so ominous and creepy.
ReplyDeleteYup
DeleteSo one to sample but not to get too caught up in.
ReplyDeleteSounds like it's not a big loss that the library doesn't have more. Nice that it was more than just okay, though.
ReplyDeleteEh, take it or leave it
DeleteAwww hopefully the library has more. At least one more so you will fully know if you like it or not lol
ReplyDeleteNot now at least
