2/7/2023 Would you read a book by your favourite author if it isn't in a genre you normally enjoy?
If I love that author then sure! Though to be honest I really haven¨t cos no one has taken the plunge. But if Ilona Andrews decided to write a medical thriller, then sure I will give it a go
Also hell no. Carole asked me this when I said that my latest book confuses me, but with the speed I read print these days it would take me 2 months to re read the two before and well f that.

Karen @For What It's Worth
Oh yes, esp big books
DeleteNo, I know what I like. I'm no going to read something I know I probably won't enjoy.
ReplyDeleteGood point
DeleteI would if I'm really into that author...
ReplyDeleteI do like re.read at times
DeleteMy issue would be more along the lines of having the time to jump into a new genre project from a favorite author especially if their earlier series are still ongoing.
ReplyDeleteYeah, finish one thing first
DeleteYep, definitely! Mostly it'll be out of curiosity, but also I would have enough trust in the writer's ability that I think I would probably like the book.
ReplyDeleteSome,eh, but some again excel
DeleteI tried with JK rowling tried a political contemporary. BORING
ReplyDeleteThat book is not for me
DeleteI read just about every genre so I wouldn't hesitate to read something different by an author I already like.
ReplyDeleteThen no problem :)
DeleteIf it was a book that I found intriguing, then yes I would. I have read most genres anyway, and I have found the ones I really dislike and the ones I enjoy immensely.
ReplyDeleteThat answer works really well :)
DeleteI would read a medical thriller by Ilona Andrews too. LOL More often than not, I would give another genre my favorite author writes a try. I think I already like most of the genres my favorite authors write (of those who write multiple genres), actually.
ReplyDeleteHere's my answer to this week's question: https://www.literaryfeline.com/2023/02/where-is-your-bookmark-peek-into-finlay.html
LOL, dunno if that would work for me, but heck, I could try it,...but maybe from the library
DeleteOMG... I would read ANYTHING that IA writes!
ReplyDeleteLOL, so true
