No one plays like Reed Olson, whether it's hockey season or not. After back-to-back NHL championships, he's craving a little R&R. Reed leans to a specific type—blond, busty, and interested—and fortunately he has a little black book full of options. So why is it he can't stop dreaming about the new girl who just moved in next door? A certified brainiac, she seems to want nothing to do with the hard-bodied athlete.
Josie Ives desperately needs something her celebrity neighbor obviously doesn't: solitude. Reed is everything she imagined—a little too good-looking, with a body that puts Greek gods to shame. But she didn't expect he would also be funny and charming. Josie knows she's the opposite of his type, and that's fine with her. Still, the chemistry between them is undeniable. Their newfound friendship certainly has its benefits, but she's starting to wonder if opposites really do attract.

Cold Fury Hockey #10
Contemporary romance
for review
My thoughts:
Omg, their first meeting, well that was...different. She comes to complain about a banging noise and he opens the door. But honestly, they were both so cool about it. I liked them both for it. And they become friends since she is so different from the women he dates.
Reed is a hockey player (wohoo sports romance). He is off season and dates *coughs* around a bit. But he is a really sweet guy.
Josie is an ER doc. She likes puzzles and, ok fine, she might be in a rut.
They meet. They become friends. And then they take another step and another. It was cue to see them so obviously fall in love even though trying to be friends. And they are so good together. He lets her be wild, she lets him be calm.
Yes it was book 10, nope, I did not feel like I had missed a thing.
Cute and funny
Narrators
Cris Dukehart, Graham Halstead
I liked this his and hers POV. So we get two narrators and it does help being totally in their heads. And yes cos it was written this way it totally needed too.
Oh wow I love hockey romance and this sounds fab!
ReplyDeletehehe me too

DeleteI listened to this one last week and plan to have my review up later this week. I really enjoyed it too and thought that the narrators were both great.
ReplyDeleteCool :D I look forward to your review then too
DeleteThis does sound like a fun one. For some reason when I first saw this cover, I thought this was a non-fiction based on a hockey player named Reed...lol. Can you tell I don't follow hockey at all?
ReplyDeleteLOL. But yes the cover is really bland. It could be about anything. Also I am sure there most be one player named Reed out there
DeleteOoh, another hockey player romance. I like! Wish the cover image would have reflected that though, I wouldn't have known from looking at it.

Audio ones are often boring, but it is just as boring and non descriptive in print
DeleteIt really was the only good way to do it :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were able to jump right into the series like that and the dual narration was good. I like the sound of both of them starting out friends and then getting more friendly. :)
ReplyDeleteI really liked their friendship
DeleteI can really get into a sports romance, and this one sounds like such fun! Hugs...RO
