Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post on Rainy Day Ramblings where Rainy discuss a wide range of topics from books to blogging. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog.
May 8th: Do you really read excerpts when featured on blogs?
Do not ask me that!! Can I please answer those two weeks I missed instead! Nooo. I kind of wish I had forgotten it this week. I almost did! I was about to start writing a review when I remembered I had not done this week's TSMT.
Short and honest answer is...NO.
Never.
Not even for a book I have waited for.
Nope.
Though I always claim I did *coughs*

LOL! What a great question and response!
ReplyDeleteLol, thanks
DeleteLOL! The truth comes out! Hugs...RO
ReplyDeleteAye, now it is out there
DeleteI don't either.
ReplyDeleteLove this post!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks ;)
Deleteit's rare but it depends on the book
ReplyDeleteStill, you do at times :)
DeleteHahaha! Thanks for your honesty.
ReplyDelete;)
DeletePhew!! Not alone!!!
ReplyDeleteawww honest!
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteI only read them for books I am unfamiliar with or the author is unknown to me..just to get a feel. If it is an author I know or series I read no way..just nope.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why this is for everyone... lol
DeleteRarely read them, unless they are short and for a book that interests me.
ReplyDeleteOh yes short! Many are so looong
DeleteHehe. Very occasionally I do - one this morning actually. But normally I just read the bloggers thoughts and they tell me enough.
ReplyDeleteOne this morning! Lol, you are a rare one then
DeleteI didn't get to this week's question on my blog but nope - me either lol
ReplyDeleteI will read quotes though. Something quick that lets me know if it's worth picking up.
Karen @ For What It's Worth
I liked quotes! I always want to put in more, but that sure got harder with audio
DeleteYeah, I tend to avoid EVERYTHING for a book I anticipate, even trailers, teasers, interviews, etc. I just want to go in with a completely blank slate sometimes!
ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
Me too!
DeleteI love your answer! I sometimes...ok rarely...read part of the excerpt.
ReplyDeleteLol, yeah ;)
DeleteLike Kimberly, in the comment above, I only do it to 'test drive' a new to me author, but usually I don't. :)
ReplyDeleteI always think I should...but never do in the end
DeleteI might read the first couple paragraphs of the excerpt, but that's about it.
ReplyDelete;)
DeleteLMAO my answer would be sometimes :P
ReplyDelete:D
DeleteFirst, awwww to the pic. :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't read blurbs often. And never for a book later in the series. Once I know I want to read it, I don't want to know anything else. I like to go in as blind as possible. I'm the same way with movies.
Melanie @ Hot Listens & Books of My Heart
Hihi :D
DeleteWith audio I always go in blind and I do like that
