TMST: Where the truth comes out

Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post on Rainy Day Ramblings where Rainy discuss a wide range of topics from books to blogging. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog.

May 8th: Do you really read excerpts when featured on blogs?

Do not ask me that!! Can I please answer those two weeks I missed instead! Nooo. I kind of wish I had forgotten it this week. I almost did! I was about to start writing a review when I remembered I had not done this week's TSMT.

Short and honest answer is...NO.
Never.
Not even for a book I have waited for.
Nope.

Though I always claim I did *coughs*

  5. I only read them for books I am unfamiliar with or the author is unknown to me..just to get a feel. If it is an author I know or series I read no way..just nope.

  6. Rarely read them, unless they are short and for a book that interests me.

  7. Hehe. Very occasionally I do - one this morning actually. But normally I just read the bloggers thoughts and they tell me enough.

  8. I didn't get to this week's question on my blog but nope - me either lol

I will read quotes though. Something quick that lets me know if it's worth picking up.

    1. I liked quotes! I always want to put in more, but that sure got harder with audio

  9. Yeah, I tend to avoid EVERYTHING for a book I anticipate, even trailers, teasers, interviews, etc. I just want to go in with a completely blank slate sometimes!

  11. Like Kimberly, in the comment above, I only do it to 'test drive' a new to me author, but usually I don't. :)

  14. First, awwww to the pic. :-)

I don't read blurbs often. And never for a book later in the series. Once I know I want to read it, I don't want to know anything else. I like to go in as blind as possible. I'm the same way with movies.
