3/22/2022 How do you choose what to read next?
I used to have a crazy system with new books that had to be read NOW, and so forth. Now when I review mostly audio I play it cool. I put them in my calendar, and then I move things around if one of them looks better or I want to shift genre.
And since I review almost no ebooks, then the print I borrow or own, well I read whatever looks good. I like this system. I choose what to read, the book does not choose for me.
I both have a system, and I wing it :)
3/29/2022 Do you leave blog comments? Do you respond to comments left on your blog?
LOL that's a good question. If I have books to read from publishers I do that and otherwise I stand in front of my TBE pile and I can wait for 20 minutes because I dont know what to pick
ReplyDeleteSometimes when I have to pick my own books I do think long
DeleteI used to be more systematic myself...but lately (esp with the wedding around the corner) I have not taken many new ones or requests. I've been playing it by ear/feels.
ReplyDeleteBetter to wing it these days
Deletewinging it, I like it!

DeleteI love your system! It's nice that you can do both review and mood books. I find myself lost if I don't make a list to go off of.
ReplyDeleteBefore it was harder, but these days I only have audio to review so when I can't do audio, those are for me
DeleteI'm all winging it now. I did do the arc schedule back when I was taking review books.

I remember my schedule, it was intense
DeleteSounds really good, I do something fairly similar, occasionally a review book I need to schedule but can move them around a bit too according to mood.
ReplyDeleteMood is more important these days
DeleteI mostly read whatever looks good unless I have a review deadline.
ReplyDeleteIt is better and less stressful
DeleteReading is definitely more relaxing and fun that way. I schedule some, but leave room for whatever takes my fancy, too.
ReplyDeleteYou gotta leave room for fun
DeleteSometimes depends on what books I got for review, but mostly just mood!
ReplyDelete:=D
DeleteI try to make a monthly tbr but leave some room for mood reading.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good way
DeleteSounds like you and I have a similar method! I do buddy reads and such, but that's all based on what I want to read. And audiobook reviews are the only review books I really accept anymore, with a few exceptions.
