TMST

Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog. Feel free to leave your links in the comments if you are participating.

4/12/2022 What book has been sitting on your TBR pile the longest?

Some do define tbr in different ways, I will only think of it as those books I own. Oh and I do not count kindle freebies, those are old as hell.

But like years ago Karen at For what it's worth went through her books and I decided to do the same. I had over 200 unread ones, I dnfed a LOT. I gave away a lot. I read a lot. It was years of focusing on my old books.

Looking at my shelves it seems The black jewels trilogy by Anne Bishop is my oldest. I tried it like a page years ago, gave up and meant to try again. One day! And it seems I have some books from 2016. Work in progress.

4/19/2022 How did you choose your blogging platform?

4/26/2022 Do you still own any books/comics/toys/memorabilia from when you were a kid?

5/3/2022 How do you feel when everyone loves a book except for you?

5/10/2022 What are the books/authors you pick up when you need a comfy read?

5/17/2022 How long have you been blogging? And has your blog changed over time?

5/24/2022 Do you review every book you read? Why or why not?

5/31/2022 Do you request ARCs? Why or why not?

  1. I also only count books I own towards my TBR. There are dozens of books I mark "want to read," because someone recommended or I liked the cover, etc. But unless I own it, it doesn't count.

    1. How can they count when you do not have them, exactly. So no I do not count that book from 20 years ago

  2. There's a whole bunch! I think I would have to go to Goodreads to check...

  3. I have had some books on my Kindle since I bought the device. It's pretty common for me to buy books years before I get around to reading them.

  4. You did great purging your shelves a little while back. I'm doing better at reading my older books, but not nearly what I need to be. I'm pretty sure a freebie is my oldest TBR book, too.

  6. Oh man, I'm not sure. I have that Anne Bishop series on my TBR, but I haven't bought yet. I was just on Jen's page where she mentioned Naomi Novik, I have that series on my list too. I think it might be the oldest (or at least one of the oldest) audiobooks on my phone that I haven't listened to yet. One day.

  7. Yeah when answering this question I was thinking of the books I own too. I have want to read books that I don't own, but for me it really counts as TBR once I've actually committed to it so much that I purchased it/obtained it in some way. 2016 is pretty good really! Mine was from 2011!
