Best Book of the Month:

My pick..........The Stone Circle by Elly Griffiths

Best book, yes yes another Ruth Galloway. It was either this or the 2 Heartrsikers I re-listened to. Those weere obvi the best too, but yes ;)

Carole's pick.......Tomboy by Avery Flynn

Stiff competition in Nov! I had a few goodies. This one was just so dang good though so I had to pick it. Loved our super flawed characters and them finding love and peace. 

Best Movie of the Month:

Carole's pick.....Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (2019)

BF and I went down a tunnel after watch the Ted Bundy Tapes. We HAD to watch this one and it shockingly good. Efron was fantastic. So good. 

My pick.....The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)

As for movies, ehh, I am sure I watched some, but I can't really recall. I did rewatch LOTR. Still epic!

Best TV show of the Month:

My pick...........Gentefied (Season 1)

I watched Gentefied. I am glad they are getting another season.

Carole's pick........Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes

This was really intriguing. It is a look into a crazy man who did terrible things that we never got to really see. Gave me chills.

But I have no idea what has gone on before, and I did not feel like I had missed anything for a second. It worked really well as it was.

Two former best friends, and more, meet again. Stuck on a boat. Dealing with each other and their lives.

James wanted to live and go his own way. His brother died and regretted not doing just that. Hannah works too much, and does not live at all. They talk, become friendly again and more. Oh and deal with her dad on the boat too.

Sweet little story about finding each other again, and more meaning in their lives.

Nice narrator. Good with both their voices , I do like distinct voices. She managed this novella well

I want to listen to book 1 now, I wonder about those eyes of hers, or maybe we learn more in book 3, in that case, I want book 3, and like did their entire family die of cholera? It works perfectly as a stand alone, but it does make you want to read more, just like it should be.

Sophy is a dressmaker, somewhat of a spy, a journalist too, and just a woman of all things. Her sister married a Duke and now their shop needs new customers. Since not everyone was happy when a shopkeeper married a Duke.

This book is about keeping one of their customers happy. And that customers will put herself at risk. In comes Longmore, ha, oh he was funny, yes he was smart, but he just felt like this lummox. I liked him, he was so annoying. And so lovable.

They were great together, when they finally realised. It was a fun ride.

Great narrator, she got Longmore just right. It was fun listening too and I got swept way.

A blue-eyed innocent on the outside and a shark on the inside, dressmaker Sophy Noirot could sell sand to Bedouins. Selling Maison Noirot's beautiful designs to aristocratic ladies is a little harder, especially since a recent family scandal has made an enemy of one of society's fashion leaders. Turning scandal to the shop's advantage requires every iota of Sophy's skills, leaving her little patience for a big, reckless rake like the Earl of Longmore. The gorgeous lummox can't keep more than one idea in his head at a time, and his idea is taking off all of Sophy's clothes.

Share a book-centric childhood memory.

I remember when I was in school and we used to race to the book mobile, because omg we all needed those Francine Pascal books, and if you got one you had not read. Your day was perfect!!

I also remember this time when I went to the book mobile and borrowed 30 books, and I do not remember having something to carry them and it was a 10 min walk home. How did I get those books home? But I loved it and I wanted to read everything.
