Discussion:

I must say that so far this was my least favorite. I felt like Murderbot was not her usual dark funny self, and I did not get the same feeling.

Yes, I have to agree that this wasn’t my favorite. I still liked it and enjoyed it to a point, but it felt a little flat. I also really missed ART. Sighs. 

Miki wasn’t bad, but she was no ART, and the humans, meh. So it was a good book, but not my favorite adventure. I also felt like it got us nowhere.

Miki wasn’t bad, but yessss for sure not ART. I liked Miki’s owner (blanking on the name). The rest were dumb. It felt like it was setting something up though. Maybe there will be a big fight or reveal or something in the next one. 

I hope so, something must happen. The more I think about it the more disappointed I get, one should not over-analyze. But yes it was not the same old Murderbot. It was more a filler to me, oh,or book 2! If Novella 1 and 2 were like book 1, then this was book 2 syndrome with novella 3.

That’s a good way to describe it! It was very book 2 syndrome-y. It felt like a transition and sure we had some drama and a huge fight at the end...but it was just okay overall. I did the audiobook version again and even though the narrator was fantastic I would find myself not paying attention especially at the beginning. There were a lot of slow parts in this one. 

So not the best one, I hope novella 4 will be better. And yes I honestly do not have a lot to say about it. Stuff happened, the end. Bad planet.

I have hope the next one will be a touch better because it did feel like we are building up to some big event soon. Murderbot can’t stay hidden for long! Esp with helping all these humans. I am hoping with all this kindness and saving people they will protect Murderbot if it is discovered. That would be nice because Murderbot didn’t have to do anything. 

Yes, I sure hope Murderbot will be ok! I guess we will read and find out ;)

"Tv series I binged was Modern Family. I have never followed the series, but I have always watched it. Which means like some older eps I have watched several times, but never entirely. And some eps have gone me by. I do wish netflix had the last season though. But then I am sure a re-run will be shown soon"

I enjoyed this one. They were so meant to be, but they took a while.

Althea is the daughter of a traitor. She went from having it all, to living in a dump, working at a tavern. She was strong, and omg are her brother's getting books? Cos I want to know if they solve the case? Back to Althea, I may not have approved of her plan, but I got her plan for showing them all.

Then there is the beast of White Chapel, and he owns a brothel, but also he doesn't. I liked him, he just wanted to save people. And he wants to protect her.

They meet. They become friendly. They get the hots for each other, but things come in the way. Things to not go as planned.

The narrator did a good job, I liked her different voices and they were distinct. She brought life and emotion to this story

She wants lessons in seduction.

Horror Dystopia YA

I liked this. It was not like the bleak US dystopia books where everything is shiny and bleak. Now, shit here was bleak.

The Sidhe came back and locked in Ireland from the rest of the world. Nothing comes in, nothing goes out. They are running out of things. And then there is the Call, when every teenager gets dragged into the Grey Lands to be hunted for sport. These days 1 in 10 make it out alive.

Yeah, I liked the darkness, the Sidhe were vicious and angry. They wanted back into our world, that they had first.

And yes there was the whole school thing, so that some would survive everyone is sent to school to learn how to make it out. And yes there is the guy that thinks he is all that and goes a bit power hungry, but every school needs an asshole.

And then there is Nessa, Ireland went to hell and she got polio. Her odds are not good, but dang that girl was cool. She trained in every way she could.

I liked it and I did not want to put it down.
