-------------------------------------

Cora Goode has woken up in a fairytale world where she can understand what birds are saying to her, men ride horses and have fluffy feathers in their hats and furniture zigs, zags and whirls in miracles of construction.

The problem is, she thinks she’s in a dream but she’s actually taken the place of the parallel universe Cora and without realizing it, our Cora does something that starts a centuries old curse that will sweep the land if she gets captured by the evil Minerva.

At this point, her dream world becomes a nightmare.

Luckily, hot guy, fantasyland Noctorno is there to save her from the clutches of the grotesque vickrants sent by Minerva to capture her. Unfortunately, hot guy, fantasyland Noctorno doesn’t like the Cora of his world all that much (to say the least) and he thinks our Cora is her. And no matter what our Cora says or does to try to convince him, he won’t be convinced.

But Cora needs Tor to keep her safe and guide her through this fantastical world as she hopes one day to wake up in her not-so-great apartment in her not-so-great life in her world. The problem is, the more time she spends with the gorgeous warrior Tor, the faster she falls in love with him.

My thoughts:
I might even have liked this one more than book 1 :) (and do not talk about book 2, that atrocity shall not be named.)

Ok so the hero is a total ass, BUT, he has a right to be. He is married to a total BITCH who made his life and everyone else miserable. Then suddenly his wife starts behaving in another way and he thinks she is playing her, cos she is a bitch.

Cora is from Seattle and one morning she wakes up in a fantasy land. Where she is married and her husband thinks she is a lazy spoiled bitch. She tries her best to explain but why would he believe her when she is..yes a bitch.

It was fun to read. She trying her best. Him being an ass. But he slowly finds her amusing cos she is nice, kind, different.

A fun ride :D The only part that was not as fun was when it took place in our world, booo our world. Boring at once then.

And now I look forward to book 4.

Fantasy romance

Far too young, Apollo Ulfr lost Ilsa, his wife, the love of his life and the mother of his two children. The grief of her loss does not settle in his soul, it solders to it. But when he discovers there is a parallel universe where his wife may have a twin, he feels there's hope and sets about bringing her to his world so he can have her back.

But Ilsa Ulfr of our world is married to the parallel universe's twin, Pol, who is not a good man. Not in any way. She's on the run from him and the last thing she wants is to be transported to a fantastical world and be forced to take his side as his wife, even if he is not Pol. And Apollo finds the broken, bitter Ilsa nothing like his beloved and he further wants nothing to do with her.

But darkness is looming and evil is amassing. Apollo must protect his land and keep his family safe, including the new Ilsa.

My thoughts:
Thoughts while reading:
Honestly this book is just about smexing and them arguing. Or the author telling us what everyone is wearing. All the time!!

And Apollo is such an alpha a-hole. Honestly they argue, and the women tell HER to forgive and talk to him. He is an asshole, she should give him the finger and walk away. He should come begging on his knees.

And we are meant to believe this is an awesome society where whores are awesome and celebrated. And people start experimenting with sex young and can sleep around as much as they want cos that is the way....

yeah sorry I DO NOT believe it when every man is beyond alpha a-hole and to women seem to be chattel.

Grow up the both of you.

And for Loki's sake, please stop telling me how HOT everyone is. I get it, men in that world are hot, whatever.

Actual review.
I have said it all...

Sure I enjoyed the book at times, but trust me, nothing happened, arguing, sex, talking *eye roll* It feels like the author lost some steam when writing this one.

Oh and I totally forgot about the stupid thing that in this world and our world we speak English, French (and surely other ones too). What, so two worlds evolved and spoke the same languages, but still not the words, oh whatever. And parallell twins have the same name...whatever , whatever.

  5. Whoa, you got snow! We had some one day, but it pretty much melted as soon as it fell, and the next day it was warmer and sunny. Well, at least we weren't snowpocalypsed like Buffalo, NY!

  6. Wow, I should take thia challenge. My treadmill is practically begging me to use it, but I have the tendency to ignore it and just read my books. *hangs head*

Those books' concepts sound interesting but it looks like such a let down in the character department. Parallel worlds are always fascinating to read about so I hope the author keeps improving!

It was fun for a while but then it was just the same story from previous books

  14. I always hate when I get told how hot everyone is. It's like, be more subtle, work it in, and also be more realistic! :-) Love your photos and glad you got so much walking in. I desperately need to work out after last week's thanksgiving gorgefest. :-)
