So when her friend sends Wyatt Darrington to help, Melanie keeps him at arm's length. He's exactly the sort of trouble she doesn't need. Wyatt has the perfect distraction for Melanie: rescue his failing bar. She reluctantly agrees and together they hit the road. As they spend more time with one another, undeniable attraction grows. my thoughts:
Oh Wyatt, can I just tell you all how much I love Wyatt. He was just so sweet and wanted to save everyone and I was all but what about you! You need someone too.
Oh and cowboys! If you had not notice I really like this genre. I do have to mention that since my last one I did actually see a rodeo on tv! Whaaat? Yes it was on this sports channel, but ok so I can read, but watch it, ha, no.
To the book! Wyatt is a cutie and we learn so much about him.
Melanie used to be a great rodeo roper, but her career took more and more time, and she just stopped doing it. And she loved it. Not to mention riding. Poor Melanie, oh you will see. She had a savior complex too, this regarding her little brother (who made me so mad).
They always argue and now they are stuck together. The best banter makes for heated...talks ;)
I liked how it all happened. There was much talking things through and getting to know each other better. It was just these two working through their issues and falling hard. What is there not to enjoy.
Last thoughts;
Good romance with that ever present rodeo vibe
Narrator Johanna Parker
I like her accent and she really makes me feel like I am there. She has a good range and she is perfect for this.

oh rodeo, I haven't read a book talking about it
ReplyDeleteI like it :D
DeleteSounds like a very good listen, I like the rodeo vibe - even though I only ever went to one as a child and got very sunburnt, but loved it.
ReplyDeleteLOl, I am sure I'd get sunburned too
DeleteThis series in on my tbr list. I had no idea that Johanna Parker did the narration. I will have to see about going that route since I love her work.
ReplyDeleteIf you do then give them a whirl! I have only listened to like 2 by her but I love how she does them
DeleteGotta love a cowboy ;)
ReplyDeleteYeehaw
DeleteI LOVE watching rodeos' on tv, and yeah I think it makes a great setting for a romance. Really need to pick up this author SOON!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it so much.
I only watched when we had that channel, but sadly that was for a month only so no more rodeos for me
DeleteSounds good, I like this type of books at times.
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteAh, this is the fourth book in the series. I guess Wyatt is a returning character, it's always nice to have those you enjoy :)

To be honest I did not remember him or her ;) I read book 3 last fall
DeleteLove the cowboys, too. LOL, rodeo in reality is not like the romances for sure. I got a shocker when I got to go to one.
ReplyDeleteI need to try this series.
Glad the narrator was a good one, too.
I would never dare to go to one, I'd be too scared
DeleteI love how much you love cowboys! Oh, I listened to one (for review, coming later) It's Softhearted by Kim Law, I bet you'd love it!
