TMST

Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post where bloggers discuss a wide range of topics from books and blogging to life in general. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog. Feel free to leave your links in the comments if you are participating.

8/3/2021  Do you like to read with others (buddy reads, readalongs, bookclubs, etc)?

I would love to be a part of a bookclub, I have participated in 2 years in one though. We all settle on a team and read different books and discuss. Because we realise how hard it is to get English books. So I shouldn't say I want to be a part of one when I am! It all counts. I guess I want to take part in more ;)

And then Carole and I settle on something every month too, of course we have chosen lots of movies lately ;) But it is fun and I enjoy discussing a book with someone who has just read it too.

What can be bad with clubs and that is that well sometimes you do feel the pressure to finish! That is why the bookclub I am a part of is no pressure at all, if you do not finish, then talk about that which you have read so far.

8/10/2021  Tell us about the best summer job you've had

8/17/2021 Do you ever buy physical copies of your NetGalley/Edelweiss approvals?

8/24/2021 Do you have any pets? Tell us about them (past or present)

8/31/2021 What books are you looking forward to reading in Fall 2021? (September-November)

  1. That's so fun that you do one buddy read a month. I think it's hard to do a read along because of the way I like to read, though, I always claim I would like to be part of a book club.

  4. It's nice to know when someone else is reading the same book you are, wish I could do more buddy reads.

  5. I wouldn't like to do a read along and I don't care about a book club, not so important to me.

  6. I guess book clubs are more pressur-y than a simple buddy read. But at least you found a more laid-back one!

  7. I love talking about books that I've just read and loved, it's so fun!
I had started a book club, but then the pandemic shut everything down and we sort of fizzled when we couldn't get together. I should try get everyone together again...it was fun to see their thoughts on SFF when they'd never read any before ;)

  8. I love our discussions!! I find it's perfect to have one or 2 people involved (so a total of 2 or 3). Too many people and too many rules stinks. #dramaalert

    1. Yes! The drama does grow the more people come in

  9. I think I'd love a no pressure to finish book club. Fun that you and Carole can discuss movies and books once a month that you are both reading. I do Buddy Reads now and then.

  10. I don't belong to a book club, but sometimes my daughter reads the same books and we talk about them. When my husband and I drive back and forth to our daughter's house (4.5 hours each way) we usually listen to an audio so we discuss those books together. That's about it.
