Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post where bloggers discuss a wide range of topics from books and blogging to life in general. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog. Feel free to leave your links in the comments if you are participating.
When does it become too late to comment on a blog post?
Oh, this one is hard. I would like to say never, but then something commenting 5 years later is weird. BUT, how nice they found my post that much later. Still...weird.
When more than a year has passed? 6 months? Never? I say comment how long you want to
9/21/2021 Have you ever bought a book just because you fell in love with the cover? And did such book live up to it?
9/28/2021 Do you read 1 book at a time? or multiple?
Have a beautiful day
ReplyDeleteThe same to you
DeleteHmmm... so this is the third TMST post that has said never, and I must be in the minority. I mean, I guess never is true, but personally, if I haven't read a post in over a week, I'll skip it or I'd never catch up.
ReplyDeleteOh yes that makes sense If you have like 400 posts to go through!
DeleteI say no time is too late but I have to be mindful to check my comment sin blogger so I catch comment son older posts or else I'll never know lol
ReplyDeleteThey don't notify me anymore.

Oh that is weird! How would one know if they do not let you know
DeleteI don't think it's ever too late, depending on the content of the comment. I've had comments where people are like, "I just finished this book and found your review, and I agree with everything you said here!" etc. and that always brightens up my day. :D
ReplyDeleteYes! Those are great. I would love if someone found a review 5 years later and really wanted to comment
DeleteYeah, I appreciate a comment back even if it is late. I've been there too, commenting back after some time has passed. Life happens and sometimes it's hard to be prompt. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I love comments, new and old :D
DeleteUsually when a really late comment comes in it very often is spam!!
ReplyDeleteTrue and sad :/
DeletePersonally, I try to comment within the week of a post, but, then again, I've commented over three months later when I came across a link and felt like commenting. :)
ReplyDeleteSame, I usually do it within a week
DeleteI still get comments on 10 year old posts and I'm fine with that. If you find a post interesting, I see no reason not to comment on it no matter how old it is..
ReplyDeleteYes good :D
Deletelol!! I can't tell you how many times I've stared at posts over a week old and debated commenting or not because maybe it would see weird!! lol!!
ReplyDeleteIt is never! Though I always check if it is spam
Delete"Never" in the sense that, posts can be timeless (unless they're recaps or personal ones). But I do skip posts when a new one from the same blogger comes up, if haven't had the time to comment yet and I don't have a special interest in the older post or a strong opinion to share LOL.
ReplyDeleteSOme posts sure can be
DeleteAgreed. There have been times when I commented on an oldddd post because I happened to stumble upon it in researching something.
ReplyDeleteOld posts need love too
