4/1/2025 What is your current genre of choice? Has it changed recently?
It used to be UF and fantasy. But honestly I hardly read any UF anymore, except for those that I am still reading 10 years later. I feel like the BIG UF days are gone.
Still loving fantasy, oh and yes obvi romance! But like with UF, it feels like HR has been pushed out. Like where is all the HR!?
4/8/2025 Which author do you wish you could meet? And what would you say to them?

Right now my genre of choice is paranormal romance. But when I first started reading for my own pleasure, I read Horror. I read Horror for years and then my mom gave me some of her romance books and I was hooked.
ReplyDeleteI might have noticed that you love pnr :D
DeleteIs UF dormant at the moment? I don't know - vampires sure are making a comeback, so I guess it would be the same for UF (unless they're more of a PNR thing?).
ReplyDeleteSupernatural/magical realism and sci-fi are my kryptonite LOL - especially if there's lot of horror in them 😉.
I feel like big ones are not pushing it, if it makes out it is self pubbed, or one of the oldies. And yeah the vamps might be more pnr
DeleteWait what is HR? I agree the big UF seems to have faded away, but the oldies are classics, so we keep reading them.
ReplyDeleteHistorical romance ;)
DeleteI love so many genres and just flit around from genre to genre. I am listening to a lot of fantasy and romantasy.
ReplyDeleteI do tend to jump around a lot too
DeleteI used to be all about the urban fantasy. I still enjoy it, but I don't read it nearly as much as I used to.
ReplyDeleteIt used to be everywhere, I miss that
DeleteThese days I am loving horror and thriller. Just a break from all the fantasy.
ReplyDeleteLuckily there is enough "older" HRs to keep me warm. I haven't really touched any of the super new ones.
