I am trying audible and this was my first pick. Totally random and chosen cos it was short. Also!! If anyone know any good audible only ones then do tell me :D
Ethan and Hannah broke up 15 years ago. Suddenly she calls him up because she is looking for a sweater she lost 15 years ago...and so it continues, almost everything done via phone calls. It worked really well actually. They fall for each other again and they do not even know what the other one looks like now.
But yes that is it, she needs that sweater. They call each other all the time and then they live happily ever after.
Fun and short
Two narrators and it works so well as it goes back and forth.
Hannah Gold never thought she’d speak to Ethan Reisner ever again. Getting dumped in high school will do that to you. But when she needs to find a beloved sweater in time for her parents’ 50th anniversary, she begins her search where she last saw it: Ethan’s childhood home.
She thought calling Ethan out of the blue would be the hardest part, but breaking fifteen years of silence was just the beginning. Why is Ethan being so friendly? And helpful? And funny? And is it possible for someone to be handsome over the phone?
As her feelings take her to unexpected places and her parents’ anniversary looms closer, Hannah will have to dig deep, find out what’s real, and decide exactly what she wants.
That sounds fun.
ReplyDeleteShort and good
DeleteYea! Carole has reviewed a TON of the freebie audible books, check out her blog I'd say. I know for a while Molly Harper had some books in the catalogue and hers are always fun.
ReplyDeleteI have to do that, I know she had done a lot and every time I am all, I want those too. So when a deal showed up I caved
DeleteGlad your first foray into Audible worked great with this shortie. I know I've listened to some good Audible originals. You might enjoy the one Mrs. Wickham by Sarah Page! And, the Dispatcher by John Scalzi was neat. Neither are very long- so not a big commitment listen.
ReplyDeleteI have done the dispatcher, but Mrs Wickham I have to take a look at
DeleteI haven't had audible in years, so I don't have recs for you! This sounds quick and fun, though.
ReplyDeleteI am just going in all random ;D
DeleteFun!!!
ReplyDeleteYay
DeleteI have several recommendations! The Upside Down Christmas and The Best Worst Christmas by Kate Forester, both were novella length. The Getaway by Sarah Pekkanen and Greer Hendricks, Repeat by Kylie Scott is really good! There are more, but I can't think, lol!
ReplyDeleteI have to take a look at them all :D Thanks
DeleteI need to re-up my audible. Do you review for them and have a contact there?
ReplyDeleteNope, I just caved cos they had this 1 euro deal and you go for 3 months
