In exchange for an honest review

At the moment I can not remember Gavin at all from his brother's book, I do remember Louisa though, at least the fact that her ranch had burned. But anyway this is now their book.

Lou was in a fire and is now scarred. She does hide away her scars, and it seems her ex was a real piece of work. Her grandmother is also talking about getting Lou's father to come and help out, and who knows, take over. This has to be stopped.

Gavin wants more, and not just to be a ranch hand under his brother. Which I get, but at the same time, what's your deal man? Just leave then.

These two will pretend to be married so that Lou can get her ranch and so that Gavin can get away too.

Of course he always fancied her, and she has those scars that she can not forget.

I did feel that more should have happened, I usually like drama free books, but here there could have been some cos nothing really stood in their way. It was their pretend courtship that turned real and then they lived happily ever after. That is really the whole story.

Narrator
I am so used to narrators having a drawl and he did not. Though maybe you are not supposed to in Colorado? But I miss it! Cowboys should have one.

But he does have a nice female and male range.

In Colorado's glorious big-sky country, everything is done with cowboy flair - even boot-stomping, hat-tipping cowboy weddings....

As the middle Tyler brother, Gavin doesn't always have much say in ranch decisions, but when it comes to his heart, he's the only authority. He's loved Louisa "Lou" Fairchild for longer than he can remember, even though they've never been more than friends. But with Lou stuck between the proverbial rock and hard place, Gavin is going to help the way any true friend would - with a proposal of a strictly business-like, in-name-only marriage...at least to start.

Lou can't believe her beloved grandmother has backed her up against the wall. The choice between finding a man to marry and letting her no-good father back into the family to run the ranch isn't a choice at all! But when her sister counters with an even less savory idea, Lou knows what she must do - say yes to the only man she's ever trusted. But somehow pretending to be in love with good-natured Gavin suddenly begins to feel alarmingly real - and she downright likes it.

Can a sham marriage become the truest kind of love?

My Thoughts.
This was a sweet cowboy romance. I kept waiting for some silly drama, and it did not arrive. Instead they faced their problems and talked. Well, there was some drama, but hey, who doesn't get mad now and again.

Cora is a single mom with a 12 year old son. She is trying to make it as a wedding planner. She is kind, fun, but with issues from her abusive past.

Shane has his own demons. He took on the responsible for his family at 12. He felt he needed to do more. He was wonderful. So sweet, good and great. A cowboy dream.

The drama then. His mom is getting married to a younger guy and the kids feel he is not after love, only money. And Cora has to deal with it all as she is planning the wedding.

They get to know each other, they fall in love. The kid finds something to love too. It's a nice family, I'd love to see them all find love too.

Sweet. Cowboys and romance, what more do you need.

Narrator
He did a good job, I have not read many, ok none contemporary romance with a guy narrating solely and I liked it. He had a nice range and I  felt he did justice to all.

As the oldest of three brothers, Shane Tyler takes his responsibility to the family ranch seriously-and it's clear to him that the younger man who wants to marry his widowed mother is only looking for a meal ticket. He's determined to stop the nuptials whatever it takes, but the shy wedding planner his mom hired is harder to intimidate than he expected. When Cora Preston worked up the nerve to leave her abusive ex and move with her young son to Gracely, it was a huge step. Accepting the position as wedding planner at brand-new Mile High Weddings took even more courage. But Cora's biggest challenge is turning out to be the bride's handsome-and stubborn-oldest son, Shane, and the way the strong-willed cowboy makes her feel. Can the heat crackling between them warm two hearts suspicious of love?

My Thoughts:
I enjoyed the previous two and I was looking forward to reading Gabe's story.

Gabe was the one who was always smiling in previous books, but not really talking a lot about himself. And I get why, poor man. He has some issues that he carries around. And unlike his friends who has PTSD, he has other things on his mind. But I did like him, but oh how he struggled with his feelings.

Monica is a widow. She has a 10 year old who she is afraid to let out of her sights. And she is the one who will work with the soldiers and their trauma. So of course she does not want to get involved with Gabe. But then he has never come to her, since he has no trauma like that. Anyway, she is a good person and she needs to learn how to stop controlling everything and also to love again.

Which is perfect cos Gabe sure needs someone to love him ;)

They have known each other for a while now as people around them have fallen in love. I knew they would have some ups and downs and that they had. I enjoyed seeing them realise things. And it really was a lovely book that made me want Christmas.

Conclusion
A lovely book

Cover
Sweet

Narrator:
A great voice for this. With range from 10 year olds to men and women

Blurb:
Single mom and Revival Ranch's on-site therapist Monica Finley has dedicated her life to helping brave servicemen and women, but former Navy SEAL Gabe Cortez is the one man whose shell she just can't crack. Yet with the holidays fast approaching, she may finally have a plan. In a bid to get Gabe to open up, she'll ask for as much help as possible-cutting down the Christmas tree, stringing lights, the whole nine yards. Who could possibly be a Grinch with so much holiday cheer in the air? Gabe has always hated Christmas-the holiday never fails to remind him just how alone he truly is. But the more time he spends with Monica and her young son, the more he finds himself drawn to their cozy little family . . . and the more he begins to realize his long-suppressed Christmas dreams may finally be coming true.

Audio: Cowboy Seal Redemption - Nicole Helm

My thoughts:
These titles are a mouthful! But hey I love my cowboys, in any form.

Now it's Jack's turn to find love. He suffers from ptsd, but has taken steps to get better. His life on the ranch, talking to people, and of course his therapist. All things that is making him better. And I liked seeing how he got better. He is such a sweet guy. But drama will find him as his family is coming for a visit. And grrrrr, we learned in book 1 that his fiance slept with his brother and they are not married and have a kid. Who wouldn't be angry!

In comes Rose, oh woman, she was trouble. I was so mad at her at times. But then at the end I felt sorry for her. She has issues, ISSUES. She thinks she is so strong and in control. But she has wounds that wont let her open up. I wanted to shake her and scream that he loves her and she loves him. But, this is how it was meant to be. Some people are really scarred and it takes time. I was still mad at her though cos she was so blind.

They start a fake relationship that obviously blossoms into more.
But first they have to deal with his family. And he has to learn to talk, and she has to learn to be loved. There will be drama, slow drama, and there will be romance. It's all very bittersweet.

Conclusion:
A sweet lovestory with thorns

Narrator: Remy Nordlinger
I like her voices for everyone and she really fits this genre.

Cover
Nice

Blurb:
Jack Armstrong's been slowly piecing his life back together after a career-ending injury bounced him from the SEALs. The only trouble is, his family's on their way to his new haven in Montana . . . and Jack refuses to let them know he's still hurting. Desperate, he makes a deal with local bad girl Rose Rogers: in exchange for some extra security, she'll play the perfect loving girlfriend. Rose doesn't trust any man, much less some tough-as-nails former SEAL. But the more they settle into their ruse, the more things start to feel real, and the more Rose's true fear surfaces-that she'll never be good enough for love. But Jack isn't about to lose Rose. He's done running when things get tough, and he's determined to prove-once and for all-that even the most troubled hearts can find their way to redemption.

Audio: Cowboy Seal Homecoming - Nicole Helm

Alex Maguire never thought he'd go home again. The perfect soldier, the perfect leader, he's spent his whole life running away from Blue Valley, Montana-but when a tragic accident bounces him and two of his men out of the SEALs, there's nowhere left to turn but the ranch he used to call his own . . . and the confusing, innocently beguiling woman who now lives there. Becca Denton's like nothing he could have imagined. She's far too tempting for her own good, but when she offers to help turn the ranch into a haven for injured veterans, he can't exactly say no. He'll just need to keep his distance. But something in her big green eyes makes Alex want to set aside the mantle of the perfect soldier and discover the man he could have been . . . safe and whole within the shelter of her arms.

My thoughts:
At first these two had such a problem that they were step siblings, and before you go all euwwww hear me out. They did NOT grow up together. She came into his dad's life when Alex had gone to the military. He did not even know her last name and they had spoken a few times. I was all you are not related! Why are you guys even finding an issue with this? But hey, maybe that was just an excuse, because these two have issues.

Ok, so Becca does not have issues in that way. She has just been very sheltered by her mum and she has never really done anything. But she loves the ranch and she now owns half of it (Burt! Srsly! What if they had hated each other?! Battles when it comes to that can be so hard.) She is finding her way and I liked how she did that.

Alex, oh man, he has issues. He is the leader. The strong one. The one that tells himself he is ok. Nothing wrong here. Nothing at all. He came out of the war with not a single problem except for that bad knee. Like seeing death and destruction is something that does not affect you. I started to feel more and more for him.

They meet, they fancy other (and go all wtf?!), she learns how to stand up for herself. He learns how to let go. But it sure is now dance on roses, well if it is all the thorns are there and it hurts a lot. These cowboy seals are not coming home all happy and untroubled.

Conclusion:
I enjoyed it

Narrator Romy Nordlinger
I liked her voices and they made me smile. She was pleasant listening too and did a good job with narrating this story.
