May 28th: Who are some of your favorite authors?
Ugh, always when I want to find something on GR I can't! I know there was this most read author thing. Oh well...
*Brandon Sanderson. I have read everything (well almost), and he is just so good. Though he writes too many things at once and I also really hate him.
*Patricia Briggs. Mercy! I love those. But I also really enjoy her fantasy books, those are just so light and fun.
Edit. Oh they took it away! But I liked that feature!
Let us continue.
Sebastien de Castell, though I wish he would write another adult series now ;)
hmm, this is hard, because when I think of an author I remind myself that oh I did not like that other series of theirs. So let's think of it this way. My must buy authors, even if only with one series:
*Brian McClellan. His fantasy series rocks
*Christina Henry. I do like her new fairytale books too
*Seanan McGuire. Toby for life!
Ugh my brain is not working! But that is enough for now :)

I haven't read any of those authors. :(
ReplyDeleteMaybe not your style ;)
DeleteI've been wanting to start the Mercy Thompson series for ten years!! I just need to do it. I'm so bummed that GR removed the "most read author" feature too. Last time I checked, mine was Robyn Carr.
ReplyDeleteI can not remember now,m sniff, but I know Briggs was there. Dang you GR! That was the fun part
DeleteI have read all but Sebastien de Castell. Awesome list of authors!
ReplyDelete:D He is good!
DeleteToby and TYBALT!!!
ReplyDeleteTYBALT FOR PRESIDENT
DeleteLOL! I would be ok with that.
DeleteA kitty for president is the best idea ever
DeleteI've read a couple of books by a couple of those authors.
ReplyDeleteCool :)
Deleteyay some great ones there!!! I agree

DeleteThis question is getting harder for me. The more years I read the more my faves disappoint me lol
ReplyDeleteKaren @ For What It's Worth
Same. That is why I loved some but do not want to spotlight cos half of the books did not work for me
DeleteI haven't read your fave authors so not my style most likely. But I do have my fave authors who are auto buys and I love looking forward to their next publication.
ReplyDeleteI mentioned mostly fantasy hihi
DeleteI LOVE Patricia Briggs! :)
ReplyDeleteshe rocks
DeleteYes yes yes, Brandon Sanderson! For me, also Juliet Marillier, and Jacqueline Carey.
ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
I need to try Carey!!!!
DeleteRight?! The Greatcoats series was SO good, I wish de Castell would write another adult fantasy series like that one.
ReplyDeleteYaaaas! He have to
DeleteLast night in my dream I was reading a newspaper, not online but real paper, and came across an article about de Castell's new ADULT series with a red cover. I was so excited, until I woke up. Guess this was still on my mind, ha!
DeleteWhat a wonderful dream! And now I am sad since I started reading this all hopeful and then it all came crushing down
DeleteOoh, yeah so many that could be called favs. I've read a few on your list and love them, too. If I went by authors most read that would be Anne Perry, Agatha Christie, and Louis L'amour. LOL
ReplyDeleteAww Louis, of course :D

ReplyDeleteAnd of course now I can think of more...always
DeleteI read Christina Henry's UF series years ago and loved it, but hated how it ended. I am curious about this fairytale series.
ReplyDeleteMy favorites (auto buy): Nalini Singh, Ilona Andrews. Also love Annika Martin, Anne Bishop, Patricia Briggs... I'm sure there are more.
I loved it, it was so cheesy! But now I can not remember how it ended. Must check
