Short Movie Review: Shazam

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson's case, by shouting out one word - SHAZAM - this streetwise fourteen-year-old foster kid can turn into the grown-up superhero Shazam.

Director: David F. Sandberg
Writers: Henry Gayden (screenplay by), Henry Gayden (story by)
Stars: Zachary Levi, Mark Strong, Asher Angel

 2h 12min | Action, Adventure, Comedy

This started slow and I was not impressed, but then it got funny and honestly, best superhero movie in quite some time. Take that marvel movies who have been boring!

Levi was great too!

Recommend:
Yes, but beware of that slow beginning. It was a fun movie for the whole family.

  3. I'm kind of feeling over superhero movies now, but I did kinda want to see this one because of the humor.

  5. I've started and stopped this one a couple times, so I'm happy to hear it picks up. Maybe I should give it one more shot!

  6. I still am not talking to you b/c you don't like Marvel Movies. But I have to agree with your review. I honestly had no interest in this one, but decided to watch it the other day. Not bad.

  7. I want to watch this. I'll keep the slow beginning in mind. Yeah, Marvel Movies can be hit and miss. I need to continue with them, though. I had been watching them in order. :)

  8. I'm not a huge superhero movie fan but I've been enjoying these smaller ones. I still need to watch this one though.
