Have you ever dreamed of becoming an author?

I would not say dreamed, but I started writing stories when young, when I was 12 I started writing a lot, when I was 16 I started ona  fantasy series, and yes considering how much material I have...at least a trilogy. Not really finished though, in Uni I started to write less. I started to blog instead. But I still think of my fantasy series, that no one will ever see.

But the work to get it published or self published, nah

  2. I think most of us have, at one point, dreamt of becoming an author. It feels like they go hand in hand with being a huge reader. Lol. I have written fan fiction in the past, and I moonlight as a poet on the side.

  3. I could totally see you writing a fantasy series! I used to want to be a writer as well and have my book of poetry saved from when I was in high school and my early twenties.

  7. When I was little, I wanted to have a book. I say "have" because I didn't want to actually write one. I once started typing the words from another book!

  8. Writing for a career is a tough job, but writing for fun is definitely the best. Neat that you did a fantasy series.

  9. lol I have never wanted to be a writer. It's a lot of work and continued creativity that I just don't have.

  10. What is with kids/teens and their drive to write? LOL. I kept at it for a bit longer, but never with the serious intent to get published - though I briefly entertained the thought. It's a lot of work to get there, and it doesn't end when you manage to sell your first book.

A fantasy series, uh? Did you ever finish it?

    1. It is finished in my head, but not on paper. It just kept on growing

  11. lol...ahh, yeah. I did that. Aside from firing employees, being an author is the hardest thing I've ever done. It's different when you start writing something and it's fun and exciting. Then comes the stress with either finding an agent or educating yourself on self-publishing and both options lead to even more work and pressure. We shall see if it ends up being worth it!
