I was completely mesmerized.
Best Crime book of the year is Haven´s rock by Kelley Armstrong and that one led me to:
Books I binged: The Rockton/Casey Duncan books
Scariest book of the year: Birdbox by Josh Mallerman
The movie has nothing on this one.
The book I did not think would be for me: White Oleander by Janet Fitch
It was so well written. But pretty disturbing too
Best historical romance of the year: A lady´s guide to fortunehunting by Sophie Irwin
Witchmark by CL. Polk
Interesting fantasyworld that was more early 1900s
A house with good bones by T Kingfisher
A Gothic book about a creepy house
Only this beautiful moment by Abdi Nazemian
Spans 3 generation as a Persian boy finds his roots
What a great post! I am looking forward to reading The Tainted Cup for the mystery book club in February. I am glad to see it was your top favorite read of the year. I really need to read Armstrong's series. I liked her Women of the Otherworld books and keep meaning to try more of her other work. A Lady´s Guide to Fortune-Hunting sounds like so much fun! I bet I would like that one too.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a Happy New Year!
Ohh, enjoy!!
DeleteI kept seeing reviews about Armstrong, but I am not really a crime or thriller reader, but then I started and was all yes
Nice job, even if there are no Dukes! Looks like some great stories. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI need a Duke to save me
DeleteLooks like you had some good reads. Hmm the fantasy sounds fun and interesting.
ReplyDeleteThose were great
DeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI had a bad reading year - for me. I read about 20 books. Sally Diamond was a good one though!
20 is awesome. Some read none :)
