Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post on Rainy Day Ramblings where Rainy discuss a wide range of topics from books to blogging. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog.
April 28th: What are some series you started or fell behind on that you would like to pick back up?
Tricky, since if I have fallen behind I have probable forgotten all about reading it
Like that series about that girl who rode a horse...green rider series?
I read Behind the throne by KG Wagers in 2016 and really liked it, but that was 4 years ago! I doubt I will read more now :/
And there was this fantasy series that was really good! Like in 2013 something, but I could never get a hold of book 2 and the years went by. Now I remember nothing about it.
Oh and the spell UF series by McLeod? What happened there?
My answer is the end, when I do fall behind I 99% never pick them up again.

I basically quit series. I read some romance series but they tend to be stand alones anyway so I'm not counting them.
ReplyDeleteI was reading too many and forgot too many things lol
Karen @ For What It's Worth
Yeah not counting romance, I jump in and out there
DeleteI haven't kept up with a series in ages. :(

DeleteYeah, I kinda think if you fell behind and never picked it back up it's probably because you didn't absolutely love it in the first place. I have a lot of series' I didn't finish and probably won't ever. :/
ReplyDeleteNo I did like them all, a lot, but then it took years between books and I forget
DeleteYes, If it fell by the wayside there would be a reason for sure. It didn't hold you!
ReplyDeleteOr it took 10 years between books....
DeleteToo many to name really, Thank goodness most of them are trilogies and I'm only behind by a book or two.
ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
I am sure there are tons out there
DeleteThe only time it was probably not lack of interest is if it took forever to the next release and I thought the writer or publisher quit on it and didn't realize that it picked back up again.
ReplyDeleteThat is what happens to me, I mean 4 years is too much, 8 certainly is
DeleteI do this all the time. I wait too long to read the next book and then forget what happened in the earlier ones and never get back to it.
ReplyDeleteExactly, and I know you can re-read, but nah
DeleteSighhsss I hate to say it...but I usually never finish if I fall behind. :/
ReplyDeleteSame, those books I mentioned, I will never buy them now, even though I have their brethren on my shelf
DeleteSometimes too, an author falls off the earth and we don't get another book for years, and then forget about the series. Good point. But once I stop reading, I really don't go back.
ReplyDeleteAuthors have lives too, but my memory, sigh, I forget :/
