10/28/2025 What was your favorite Halloween (or cosplay) costume? *Bonus for photos!
Ok, so we do not really celebrate Halloween...in that way. You know the trick and treat kind. What we do do is well Fall sucks, it is grey, it is rainy and I have no idea when I last saw the sun! So carving a pumpkin is nice, putting up some spooky decorations is cute when you have a kid. Said child has been wearing Halloween themed clothes all of October. And on Friday I do have some like pumpkin/ghost potatoes and more to eat thanks to Lidl. And snacks.
But beg for candy, that is reserved for Easter. You dress up as a witch, and you get your candy.
I still have that blue skirt, is is a short dress in summer now...only at home. A bit see through

I had a colorful gypsy costume with bangles that I loved as a kid. I wore it 3 times before I grew out of it. And for years my cousin threw a themed Halloween party every year and some of my favorite costumes for that were my Annie Oakley costume and my Amelia Earhardt costume. :D
ReplyDeleteOh that sounds fun! So many costumes
DeleteWe don’t do Halloween in the tropics either but I love seeing the pranks people get up to.
ReplyDeleteI do like that too
DeleteThose photos are amazing, Linda! Thanks for sharing. I forgot about your holiday traditions, I know you've mentioned them before. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI think that was pretty long ago :D But yes on Easter we get candy, and teens usually get up to shit at night. Mostly blowing up mailboxes
DeleteHow cute! I had one Halloween costume that I had to wear each year. It was a witch. My mom got it really big the first year so it would last a long time. lol
ReplyDeleteWhile my clothes always were a mix of things to make it look colorful and well like we think witches look like
DeleteSo cute!!!
ReplyDeleteHihi
DeleteMy go to costume as a kid was rodeo clown which in hindsight is a uniquely Texas costume to choose haha
ReplyDeleteHaha, well I mean what works works
DeleteI love Halloween, but I now want that version of Easter.
ReplyDeleteIt is great :D Candy, witches, well now kids dress up as other things too. Being March/April is can be full winter, cold, warm, icey or muddy though
