Audio Review: Shadow Doubt - Linda Poitevin

Sworn to uphold the law, police officer Kate Dexter believes in doing the right thing. But when she meets an injured, altogether too sexy ATF agent, her entire world is turned upside down.

Jonas Burke is a wanted man. Framed for murder, he needs sanctuary--now. Finding it in the arms of a beautiful, feisty fellow cop isn't exactly his best plan, but he's desperate and wounded, and time is running out for him to prove his innocence. Armed with a little more than a conspiracy theory, Jonas has no choice but to ask for Kate's help.

Kate is torn between her duty to "serve and protect" and her growing desire for this man on the run. With her colleagues in pursuit and Jonas's enemies closing in, she and Jonas will have to work together if they want to survive. But can she really trust him beyond a shadow of doubt?

Romantic suspense
Own

My thoughts:
Kate finds a dying guy on the road and saves him. She is a good person, a good cop, but she sure trusts...a lot...damn those pretty blue eyes.

Jonas is the lone wolf with troubles in his pasts that makes him all, I can do this myself! But that did not bother me, he has issues. I get that.

Trouble is after him and she gets dragged into it. One part of me is all why not just turn him in! Another part is all well you are a cop and wants to help him, I get it.

There is suspense since bad guys are after them. There is romance since they spend all their time together. But lots of tension before that. Which I was glad for since he was wounded and all.

I enjoyed it. Fast action that kept me wondering how they would get out of this mess.

  6. So she doesn't turn him in because she's too trusting? Or because he's hot? Maybe both :)
