Her practical how-to impresses the CEO of the largest drug company in the world, and before she knows it, Hattie, a reporter for a downmarket tabloid that specializes in conspiracy theories, is sitting down with the woman who single-handedly invented the zombie-behavioral-modification market. Granted access to the inner sanctum of zombaceuticals, she meets an actual, living, breathing M-A-N. Now Hattie, the consummate professional, is acting like a single girl at the end of the twentieth century: self-conscious, klutzy and unable to form a coherent sentence without babbling. Worst of all, the human male appears to have impaired her ability to think clearly. Because all of a sudden she's convinced a conspiracy is afoot at the drug company and it seems to go all the way to the top! 

My thoughts:

This book was hilarious and totally gross.

In the future, after a zombie plague have killed 99.9% of all men, things are different. Women took over, men...well zombies, run around in the wild trying to eat squirrels. Thank goodness they do not eat humans brains, but other brains, yum. So what is a girl to do? The answer is to date zombies! Honestly, I would think that first, well try to date other women at least to see if that could work.

Right, so we got Hattie, a reporter who has written a book about dating zombies. I waited and waited for the good part to come, oh you know the part, the zombie sex part! Omg, LOL! With zombie viagra he will be on full alert and ready to go. Be weary of squishy bits, like his ribs caving in. Hilarious. It was very ewwwww. But, men are almost extinct, zombies may look funny, but there are chemicals to fix things and maybe you can learn to understand the grunts.

But the book is not only about zombie dating. Hattie does some serious reporting too and things heat up..oh and she meets a real MAN. Omg, they are so rare. She goes all MAAAAAAAAAAAAAN.

Conclusion:

A funny, but icky book too.

My thoughts:

By Loki, do you not all get tired of me saying "I expected more." Well, I bloody did!

Now it was good, but never ventured into amazing, never rose above good. Good is good of course, but even good books have cool moments. Well this one did not have. So it turned into one of those, yes I enjoyed it, it was good, I could even recommend it but I will not read more. I am happy to leave it like this. Sometimes a good book is just that, good.

It was about 3 people. A Lord who had been tortured and wanted revenge. A woman thief. A knight who had been kicked out from his company and now is a sell sword. Those last two help the lord find something, and by finding it something bad gets unleashed. So now they gotta fight that too.

Conclusion:

Magic, death, demon, dragon, war, freaky women soldiers. Evil guys. All in all a fun ride that ended and could have ended just like that. Sure there would have been a few loose end, but it could have been a stand alone so I will treat it like that and not look back.

My thoughts:

For a book about a porn-star it was kind of cute...and passionate. Do not forget that cos they do get down and dirty too.

Samantha comes for a nice relaxing holiday in Vegas. Destiny throws her into a pRonstar's room. She is all what? No!. He is all, just one date, I do not bite..a lot ;)

So of course that date happen eventually. And she finds out that there is a nice guy behind the star. A guy she likes and would like to spend more time with.

And there is smexy times.

And then there is drama when he owes someone money.

Can they get a HEA? Or are they too different?

Conclusion:

Cute, short, nice, and hot.

My thoughts:

It says that it can be read as a stand alone novel, and so I read it like that. And it did work perfectly like that. I never felt lost.

Of course that did not mean that I did not want to read book 1. To find out more about Rose and how she woke up from stasis. Mostly that to be honest, and about her parents. Because freaky stuff going there.

But this book then. Set in the future, earth has colonies (well a corporation has), space travel is possible (but very slow). And the corporation mixed alien dna and human and we have Otto (and his many many siblings.)

This book is about Otto, who has human rights, but is not human. He has powers and he is dying. I liked him most of the time. But not when he used his sickness to get attention from a certain person. But then he was a teen.

Rose was strange, she should have been an old woman but had been in stasis most of her life. Now she is to inherit an empire, and hopefully be a good leader.

It shows daily life for these kids. And it shows how they go to find a cure and the civil unrest on the moon Europa. I liked that part. It shows however far you go there are still people trying to push others down. People never learn. Oh and the horrible experiments! Sickening.
