Alien Education - Gini Koch

As if learning as much as possible about every alien race in the galaxy, fending off the advances both business and personal from a variety of Hollywood types, dealing with the assimilation of various alien races, and navigating the Embassy Daycare kids' first day of "real" school wasn't bad enough, President and First Lady Jeff and Kitty Katt-Martini must now deal with new robotic attacks that endanger every alien child on Earth, the resurgence of a bigger, nastier Club 51, and a variety of murders, all while facing the most truly terrifying organization they've ever encountered -- the school's Parent-Teacher Association. 

My thoughts:

Kitty does deal with a new scary big bad here, PTA. Dang those women, well woman ;), are scary!

One thing that I am very happy that have changed is that there were less music talk. 500+ pages of constant music references can be tiresome so this book was a total improvement.

Right, to the book then! Book 15, omg I know! When did that happen? Did I not just start reading these?! Now she has 2 kids and her husband is president. And she has a lot more animals ;)

There is always something bad coming. It's like you take down one tentacle and then 2 more come out. Arms that sends out robots, aliens, you never know who to trust. And then there are those stupid Humans first idiots too. They hate all aliens and want them gone. 

And then there was the PTA at the new school Jamie is going too. That will give her some trouble too, but then when is Kitty not in trouble? Luckily she is kick-ass and has great friends.

Conclusion:
Action, aliens and I need another A! I can't think of a good ending. Dang. Lol. 

I read it fast. It felt light and fun.

Alien Nation - Gini Koch

Police stations being blown up and war helicopters in play aren’t enoughto keep Kitty down, especially when she’s got some new alien friends helping out. But what these aliens share will rock the world—the other aliens on their way to Earth are fleeing an enemy so terrifying that even a Z’porrah ship is trying to get to Earth for safety and protection. And if Earth isn’t able to stop this threat, there may not be anything left of humanity. Now Kitty and Company have to figure out where the Mastermind is and stop him, before any new aliens land. And then they have to save the world from a deadly invasion. Or, as Kitty calls it, Thursday. 

My thoughts:
So obviously this review is filled with spoilers, it is book 14 after all. That is a lot of books! Kitty is now the first lady and Martini is the president. Yup, stuff happened and that came to play. She is of course the most kick.ass first lady that there ever has been. She has lots of other alien buddies, she has her animals and she has her enemies.

Earth is, well we suck. We are pretty evil and we can fight. And now lots of aliens are coming. And not at the best of times since well duh an ALIEN is the president of the USA! Everyone is now cheering, some are pretty pissed. Humans are petty things. But hey I get it, if an alien as the president is a lot to take in. We do not even like our neighbours, how can we like people from space now too?!

But I must say, there is still a lot of talking in these books. Maybe there always was, but these days I am just, get to the action! They talk, think and talk for ages, and then finally action, and that was over pretty quickly. And then we are left with...well I can not say that, cos that was a real spoiler, all these other things I have mentioned were just a reminder to read all those 13 books before this one. Oh and the music thing, it is also getting a bit too much, I do not need to know every song she is listening too. More like the highlights.

Oh and more Martini for the people! You can never go wrong with him ;)

My thoughts:
A brave new world, with hot aliens (and some not so hot *coughs*). A kick-ass series with a smart heroine that knows how to handle things, and does not need a man to save her or the day.

Camp Alien - Gini Koch

The Mastermind may be outed, but Kitty & Company don't get any downtime. In addition to having to recover from Operation Epidemic quickly, the sudden reappearance of a minor adversary long-forgotten turns out to only be the tip of a deadly iceberg that could end up causing or World war 3...

My thoughts:

I do still love Kitty but....the first 300 pages were mostly talk, people saying whatevs and totes. Jeff saying Baby in every sentence (it creeps me out) and I was glad when he was not around much cos no, not sexy.

The next 300 pages started to pick up some action when Kitty goes to find her missing people. Of course the biggest thing I thought would happen was like 50 pages, the whole Camp David thing. That actually could have been longer.

When you love something so much, then well you can complain. And for me this book could have been shorter. Half of it was a filler where Kitty showed how her brain works. Also I wanted more of the others, these are getting really Kitty oriented. Also way too many people around these days. Also, I want a big ass war now. Give me a showdown with the Zporrah...fine, it's coming but I want it now.

When you are a book 13 the danger of fillers do come around, and I get that soooo much has to be talked about. Jeff is after all the president now.

Conclusion:

I still enjoyed it and read it really fast, but I do think that if there are too many fillers in the future, then...

Plush life - Gini Koch

My thoughts:

By Loki, I want to hit Mark with something...a baseball bat might just to the trick. What an evil conniving SOB.

But let's go back first. 

Meggie is dating Mark (whom I hate). She is best friends with Tom (who is really sweet, and they should totally be together, stupid people for not seeing it). They also work together, and now they must go and try to woo a client together.

But Mark is an ahole.

And the client is weeeeeird.

It kept me reading cos I kept hoping someone would hit Mark with a baseball bat. Also cos it was good and I hoped Meggie and Tom would hook up.

Though Tom says baby waaaaaay too much. Srsl, stop, it's creeping me out.

Also Meggie, damn you got issues.

Also, you two are really unlucky, like hello, other people..hello!

I am being cryptic. Oh whatever, it's late and I want to hit Mark in the head with a baseball bat, and before you say anything, trust me, you would want that too...trust me.

Conclusion:

I could even call this romantic suspense with humour cos there is suspense so let's go with that. If you want romance, humour and suspense then go for it.

My thoughts:

500 pages of non-stop action. These people will never have a quiet day. But to be fair, they have had many quiet days since her second baby has been born. Quiet for a time then.

*Other aliens are coming to visit. Hey, what a state visit!

*The bad guys are still out there. And the mastermind, even if they know who he is but can't do anything about it. I really hate that guy.

*Let's see, other bad things going in. Someone is trying to kill everyone. But who is it?

* And a mystery virus that kills really fast. The clock is ticking on that one.

But I must say, the constant need to tell me what she is listening too. After 12 books I fear I am rather tired of that. I can live without that.

I also felt that there was not enough Martini. I know that she is a big girl and can handle herself, but sniff, I love Jeff. I want more Jeff and Kitty action (and I am not talking about the bed here.)

I have seriously started to doubt they will ever be happy on this planet. There are so many crazy peeps trying to kill them. That evil church. Hybrids. Sorry earth, maybe they should just leave and find a nice beach somewhere. But there are more books so hopefully they can find all the crazy ones and live happily ever after.

Conclusion:

This book does pack a few punches 0_0

Alien Separation - Gini Koch

The Mastermind has finally been identified, but before Jeff and Kitty Katt-Martini can take him down, they, their daughter, Jamie, Charles Reynolds, Paul Gower, Christopher White, and several others are zapped out of their solar system and into another. Landing them on an alien planet – and not together...

My thoughts:

Honestly, how can I possibly write a review? SO much is going on, so many cool lines. Kick-ass stuff and you know, the usual stuff. This is book 11 after all. Omg, book 11?! When did that happen? I still remember when I read book 1, awww, the memories.

This book mostly took place off planet, and I loved that. It felt refreshing you know. But then the last one was cool too since it mostly took place in a parallel universe...anyway.... Yes most of the gang gets transported to an alien planet. Everyone scattered in different directions. Kitty has Christopher and Chuckie with her, but the rest? Her daughter? Jeff? Everyone? Well she has to find them all and save the day. Oh not to mention figure out why they are there.

Yay alien planet!!! It was one weird and colorful planet. Lots of weird ..things lived there too. "Birds" "other lifeforms" "flying snakes" oh you just have to read it to get it. Most were sentient, and has a bronze age society. Seriously, freaky things lives in that part of the galaxy! And trust me, freakier things show up at the end.

There is running, fighting, building friendships, naming things (Kitty you ;), getting to see the planet and saving the day. Saving the day in a big time at the end.

I took a peak at the next book too at the end, I had to after that....thing...was said ;) Looks to be interesting.

Conclusion:

Fun times :)

Kitty’s not the only one confused, because the Kitty from that world has taken her place in this one. Now Alpha Team and the Diplomatic Corps have to make sure that no one spots that there’s been a switch, while keeping World War III from happening. And they have to do so while keeping this new Kitty in line, because she has views about what to do and how to it, and time is running out.

Can both Kittys save their respective days before it’s too late to go home to the universes they belong to? Or will one Kitty decide to keep the other’s life . . . forever? 

My thoughts:

In this book you do not have 1 Kitty, you have 2!! The more the merrier.

We have 2 parallel worlds (there are more, multiverse and all). But 2 Kittys change place and you can only imagine what will go down.

I do prefer the real Kitty world. The other one was sad, and omg NO MARTINI. That is beyond sad. Instead she is married to Chuck. But Other Kitty shakes things up cos things are never perfect when Kitty is around. Someone is after them in that world. It was fun to see Kitty alone for once, but it was also sad...

Right and in our normal Kitty world Other Kitty comes in and is all wtf? But she adapts cos she is Kitty. And she is helpful with a scandal other Kitty caused.

Omg, are you confused yet? Lol. 2 Kittys, 2 worlds. 1 Martini. 2 Chuckies. I have used the name Kitty was too much in this review ;)

A fun ride, it worked eventhough it jumped from Kitty to Kitty. And I do prefer our Kitty, she is kick-ass.

The hunt for the Mastermind is still on too, and we get some answers. I look forward to the next book. The title has me a bit concerned .  I can't wait.

Conclusion:

FUN!

7. Ben Affleck (Probably the most likely suspect, since he has the hair, the build, the looks, and the ability to do pathos and humor. However, just a tiny bit too old. But I could ignore it for Ben!)

6. Karl Urban (I’d cast Karl Urban as every single male character if I was allowed to. In every single thing, not just mine. But, sadly, I do not have this power.)

5. Theo James (Probably a better choice for Christopher, but still, he’s worthy. And I was running low on younger guy options.)

4. Channing Tatum (He’s hot AND he can do humor…potentially a great choice.)

3. Josh Duhamel (What I said for CT, only I think he’s hotter than CT, so he rates higher.)

2. Henry Cavill (I think he’d be far better as Martini than as Superman, but I could be biased.)

1. Chris Hemsworth (Right now, the best choice, as long as they died his hair brown and gave him brown contact lenses. It’s Hollywood, they can do anything.)

Review, Interview and Giveaway: Gini Koch Alien collective extravaganza

Despite not having run for office, nor wanting to remain in office, Representative Jeff Martini is being wooed as the vice presidential running mate for a charismatic senator who seems likely to win the campaign. While the Diplomatic Corps has to deal with the pressures of a political campaign sure to uncover secrets they don’t want shared with the world, Ambassador Kitty Katt-Martini has other worries—handling the reemergence of her most potent nemesis, thought dead and buried.

My thoughts:

Lots of thinking going on in this one, slowly trying to figure it all out. Who are all the enemies? Who is the mastermind? Oh the riddles.

Right, Martini is running for VP. Kitty is trying to hold it all together, figure out who is attacking them and save the day (and the world).

The baddies are still bad, and they keep crawling out from under rocks. But maybe this is all now, the master plan is in motion and perhaps we will get a conclusion soon...or not as more books are coming (goes to check the blurb for book 10, omg it sounds awesome!). But that is the next book, which I totally want at once now.

Anyway, action! Poofs! Dogs! Those damn Ronnie's kids! Smooching with her honey, figuring stuff out.

1. Tell me 3 weird things about yourself?

Wow. Um, 3, huh? Okay, here goes…

1. I’m extremely shy and also extremely extroverted and I love public speaking. Meaning I’m often really stressed in groups but no one knows it. However, if I get to run my yap I tend to feel comfortable.

2. I really have a pen/pencil/writing implement hoarding problem. I currently have more pens, pencils, and markers than I can probably use up in my lifetime and yet I will still get more because…pens! You can’t have too many! At least not if you’re me…

3. Similarly to pens, I really have a “thing” for luggage and always have. I’ve sort of sublimated that into purses (mostly because the hubs refuses to have enough luggage to service the needs of the entire state) but I literally have to be dragged away from or out of luggage stores. And don’t ask me how many purses I have strewn about the Casa, either…

2. How do you manage to be so funny in your books? ;)

LOL, I’m a funny person naturally, and that translates in. I also work at the craft of it, much like you would if you were doing standup comedy. Chris Rock doesn’t just waltz on stage and wing it. He practices and hones his jokes, his delivery, his timing. It’s the same thing for writing. And, if it doesn’t make me laugh, it doesn’t get in, and if I don’t laugh the 10th read through, it doesn’t stay in.

3. How many more Alien books are there to come?

Right now I’m contracted through Book 13, but am hoping to get to 16-20. Frankly, the characters feel that they’re nowhere close to retirement age and that they’ll be having adventures for a long time to come, so here’s hoping. :-D

4. In your latest book, Martini is running for VP. How would our world react to an alien VP?

Sadly, probably more like Club 51 than what we’d all like. It seems that, regardless of how beloved someone is when they’re a candidate, the moment they win they’re attacked from all sides. I expect it would be the same, and potentially worse, for an alien. That’s if it was a benign alien, of course. If it was an evil dictator alien, I imagine we’d be busy reacting by being enslaved, eaten, destroyed, or planning our rebellions.

Review: Alien Research - Gini Koch

When rumors of a new super-drug surface, the FBI comes to Jeff and Kitty Katt-Martini for help. It becomes quickly apparent that the drug is merely the tip of a deadly iceberg and a much more insidious plan is underway involving Titan Security, Gaultier Enterprises, and YatesCorp.

As newly discovered A-Cs and hybrids begin to surface, each with expanded and deadly talents, more and more signs point to a new evil genius who’s using the A-Cs and their enemies both as guinea pigs. Then Area 51 and the Dulce Science Center go silent while Alpha Team, Airborne, and most of the worldwide A-C Security team are there for training. And if that’s not bad enough, Centaurion Division is hit with more bad, and deadly, news: Chernobog the Ultimate, isn’t a hacker myth, he’s a real person -- and he’s on the bad guys’ side.

My thoughts:

Will Kitty ever get a quiet day? The answer is no. There are always plots out there to take them down. 

Now how to review this book? Omg, you can't review a Koch book properly. I can't begin to explain all the things going on, it has to be experienced. You know what, I just realized what an awesome tv-series this would be..ok back to the point now.

Stuff is going down! Evil guys are back. Plans are made. Crazy religious nuts are protesting. ACE is still missing. There are struggles, there is pain. 

This book felt darker than the rest, I will not tell you why, but it was. ..

Non-stop action and good things at the end that made me want to read more at once. Oh oh! I almost forgot about a certain revelation, I did not see that coming! Very cool.

Top 10 Ways to Avert the Destruction of the World

Katherine Kitty Katt-Martini knows how to save the world. In a variety of ways. Sometimes she even has to do it in her sleep. So think of what she manages when she's awake. In honor of the release of her latest exploits, chronicled in Alien in the House, here's her go-to list for how to keep the world spinning and at least some of the populace none the wiser.

10. Remember that animals are your friends! What looks like a dangerous prehistoric attack dog can be used for good. This is also true for dogs, cats, cute little bundles of alien fur, and alien attack peacocks. Just be sure to have lots of raw chicken handy.

9. Pack your purse with whatever you can think of. Treat it as if you were going to go on Let's Make a Deal during Militia Week. You never know when a pen, a wad of paper, or a can of hairspray will come in handy, and a Glock with extra clips never goes out of style.

8. Until a politician proves otherwise, assume he or she is out to kill you and everyone else you love. That goes double for anyone working in the C.I.A. unless their name is Chuckie Reynolds.

7. Read the briefing books. Or not. Someone else is sure to know the answer and you can spend the time doing something else, like listening to music and kicking bad guy butt.

6. Speaking of music, listen to it all the time. Rock and roll is your friend. It can rev you up, hurt your enemies if played loudly enough, soothe many a savage alien beast, give you tips, hints, and clues, and keep you relaxed. And don't limit yourself. Tears for Fears can save the day just as well as Aerosmith, so feel free to branch out and try everything.

5. Remember that while looking good is important to those you work with, nothing says "ready for action" like a good pair of jeans, your best pair of Converse, and a rocking band T-shirt, Aerosmith for preference. Sure, other bands can work, but so far, nothing has overcome the Bad Boys from Boston -- and let's face it, nothing ever will.

4. Learning martial arts, Kung Fu for preference, is never a bad idea. Keep these skills up. Other than the meditation part, which, like reading the briefing books, is probably better left to someone else. Someone with a much higher tolerance for boredom.

3. Being able to run far and fast is never a bad thing and can, many times, save your life. If you're still in school, join the track team. If you're not, just run a lot. All those pets will appreciate the opportunity to run with you, too. As will many of the people you work with. Some of them will insist on making you run every day, whether you want to or not, so just go with "want to" as your norm.

2. When a horrific monster appears in front of you, the Woman of Today slams a heavy pen into its back or sprays it in the face with extra hold hairspray and calls it good. Never shirk from your duty -- if it's scary and needs to die, well, kill it. You have that packed purse and all that Kung Fu training for a reason. And if you're out of ideas, call your mom. It's guaranteed that she's been hiding a secret life in kick butt espionage and will have some important tips once she discovers what you're really up to.

1. Remember what you're fighting for -- the protection of the world and all the people you love in it, along with the right to continue to have great sex with your man, the Alien Sex God, otherwise known as Jeff Martini. If you ever falter, just think about the fact that if the terrorists win, you don't get to do the deed with Jeff any more, and, trust me, you'll find the will to go on, the power to do the impossible, and the creativity to figure out what the crazed evil geniuses have going.

ARC Review: Alien in the House - Gini Koch

Jeff and Kitty Katt-Martini have learned the ins and outs of Washington politics, not to mention how to prevail in intergalactic war and foil dangerous plots. But, in the aftermath of Operation Destruction, the Gower girls’ powers are burned out, the entire A-C population has been “outed” as the aliens living on Earth that they are, and, worst of all, ACE is nowhere to be found.

Then murder and mayhem are served up at an important dinner party at the American Centaurion Embassy, and when the dust settles Alpha Team and the Diplomatic Corps have more problems than just a dead Congressman. Is there a single criminal mastermind—or multiple enemies—behind all the conspiracies that want Kitty dead and the A-Cs gone or co-opted to become the War Division?

My thoughts:

How does she do it? The craziness that must be Koch's brain, I just never know with this series. Who is the bad guy? How will it end, how will anything happen? But then that is why it's a fun ride.

So what did happen? Well Kitty is trying to find out why people are dying left and right. With her she has poofs, birds and the usual gang, and of course she makes new friends.

There is drama, shootings, death, smexy times, politics, wedding plans and a birthday party for Jamie to plan. Just another normal day in the life of Kitty Katt.

So this review was much better before I accidentally deleted it. Now I do not know what to say. Koch is just insane, all the plot threads here and there. I always wonder how she keeps track of things so that we in the end can find a murderer.

Conclusion:

Another fun adventure, and as always crazy in the best way.

Review: Alien vs Alien - Gini Koch

Jeff and Kitty Katt-Martini and the rest of the American Centaurion Diplomatic Corps are still recovering from their introduction to Washington D.C. politics, parties, and conspiracies. So when compromising pictures arrive, no one’s too surprised. They’re also the least of anyone’s worries.

Evil androids running amok, birds of all kinds and from all places creating havoc, a Senator trapped in an ever-tightening web of intrigue, and escalating international tensions all seem tough but manageable. But the disappearance of Jeff Martini and Charles Reynolds during the International One World Festival signals more than the usual nastiness — and it looks like even ACE can’t help them.

Then new trouble arrives in old packages and even with the best hackers in the world, beings from near and far, the full might of Earth’s military, and the Wonder Twins on their side, Centaurion Division’s outmanned and outgunned.

My thoughts:

As I have reviewed many Kitty books before I will try not to go into details  I just feel I have said it all already. But I will try.

The book is crazy, but if you have read Koch's books before you already know this. If you haven't then what are you waiting for? Crazy stuff is happening all over the place, Kitty is as smart (in her weird way) as ever. She has a new talent that you will get to see in action. Non stop action.

I do not know what to say, I enjoyed it. There was quite a mystery about who is bad, who is after them, what the &%& is happening? There will be aliens, androids and new freaky things to get to know. Things does not cool down in Kitty's world.

The romance, well someone will find romance. Martini seems to be cooling down on the jealousy (lol, well sort of). I missed Reader. Christopher and Amy are happy. Not much of Mama Katt. White, yay (he is so cool), Chuckie..eh, sorry but I just do not like him. Oh and there is someone..."bitchy", oh you will laugh when you see what I mean.

And the end makes me want more!

Conclusion:

Crazy action, hidden secrets and evil baddies. Koch never fails to surprise.

Review: The Night Beat - Gini Koch

The Night Beat by Gini Koch

The majority of Prosaic City’s residents don’t know that their town exists on top of another place -- Necropolis, City of the Undead. For the most part, the two planes of existence manage to remain separate. And when they don’t, Necropolis Enforcement has beings in place to ensure the general human population remains blithely clueless.

Victoria Wolfe is more than just a policewoman. She’s an undercover werewolf assigned by Necropolis Enforcement to work Prosaic City Police’s Night Beat. Victoria’s comfortable working the shift where all the weird comes out to play, especially since her partner is also her perfect man. Or would be, if Victoria could ever work up the nerve to tell him she isn’t like other girls.

It’s hard enough being a werewolf in disguise, but when a creature from the Depths of Hell shows up in an alley preferred by junkies, bums, and hookers, it’s going to take more than just Victoria’s special gun and werewolf skills to subdue the ancient Sumerian demon. Especially when the demon is merely the start of what appears to be a major takeover attempt by the Prince of Darkness. Soon all of Necropolis Enforcement’s Undead Brigade is involved in the fight to stop the Prince’s Major Minions from taking over Prosaic City and the rest of the human plane. In other words, it’s just another day on the Night Beat.

My thoughts:

What to say about this book without giving it all away? Honestly some weird-ass stuff going on in this one. Trust me, I mean, wow, I'd like to dish it all out, but I can't, some things have to be read and I can tell one thing, you are in for one freaky ride.

Vic, is our snarky witty main character, she always have something good to say. Her love life on the other hand, not so good, she has been pining for her hot partner for a year now. Jack, a human, while Victoria is a werewolf. Two cops that are very different indeed from each other. But he is a nice guy. You need friends when all hell is breaking loose. And I liked them both.

Then we have a bunch of side characters and I am not even gonna name them cos you will meet them in time. A fun bunch, good guys, evil creepy baddies, yes this book has them all. Honestly I liked everyone. The bad baddie, so bad and creepy. You have to like a baddie that repulse you just by reading about it.

Yes I am not saying much at all. Gini twists and turns this book around several times. The pace is always high as they hunt down whatever has come to town. We meet beings, all kinds of beings. There is fighting, there is romance, witty banter and the trademark that is Koch, crazy stuff going down.

Conclusion:
That is what I liked about this book, the humor, the not having to take anything seriously. This book is insane, that is what it is, and it's a great thing. It's pumped up UF and humor blended in that creates one cool cocktail. And the best, surprises around every corner.

1. Hello there, G.J.Koch J Could you tell me a bit about yourself (and all you’re alter egos).
I write science fiction. Not the hard stuff, though. Because that requires actual scientific knowledge or at least actual scientific research. Knowledge may be power and research may be cool, but they take time away from writing jokes, action, and romance, and being witty in the face of death is what it’s really all about.

Alter egos include the lovely and amazing Gini Koch, the kind and talented Anita Ensal, the dark and dreamy Jemma Chase, the quirky scaredy-cat J.C. Koch, and the tough but fair A.E. Stanton.
Or, as Gini loves to say on her blog: They’re all moi. (It’s a controlled form of schizophrenia, and if it’s working for us, who else is to judge, right? Right?)

2. Your new book is called Alexander Outland:  Space Pirate. What is it about?
Oh, it’s about 360 pages long. (Girl, I cannot TELL you how long I’ve been waiting to make that, admittedly lame, joke but it’s been for AGES.)

Trouble’s brewing out in space, and Alexander Outland -- the least likely hero in the galaxy -- and his eccentric crew have to save the day, despite the fact they’d prefer to take the money and run.

Alexander Napoleon Outland is the best pilot, and ladies’ man, in the galaxy. But Nap, as his friends call him, is more than that -- he’s a schemer with a heart of gold he desperately wants to hide, a soft spot for other people’s cargo and his exotic weapon’s chief, and the unerring ability to find the biggest misfit on any planet or space station and somehow join that person onto his crew.

Nap’s not your classic hero, but that tends to make him the right guy for the job…whatever the job happens to be.

3. Where did you get the inspiration for this book?
I actually got the inspiration for this series from a name I randomly stumbled across. I saw it and said, “Wow, that would be a GREAT name for a space pirate! A mega-cool space pirate. I wonder what kind of galaxy he lives in.” The rest, as they say, is history.

Okay, okay, honesty forces me to admit that two different songs also helped in the initial formation of the idea. “Space Boy” by Splender and “Space Cowboy” by, God help me, *NSYNC.

There. Now the whole truth is out there. I hope you’re happy. (There goes my street cred, such as it was.)

4. And now to Captain Alexander. Who would play him in a movie and why?
Ryan Reynolds or Chris Evans. Because Nap (he insists that you, being an attractive lady, call him Nap) is really handsome, and he’s also really funny. Both Ryan and Chris are really handsome and both of them can do humor really well, so either one would work for me. Or both at the same time. (But that’s a different book, innit?)

5. He has quite the crew. But who is your favorite among them?
Oh. Gosh. That’s like asking me which kid is my favorite. (Ha! The chicklet! I only have one, so that makes it easy.) But, since I have faves among my pets, I know I can admit who I favor most in Nap’s crew.
All of ‘em.

LOL, okay, well, I like the Governor because it’s fun to have the cranky, knowing oldster along. I like Audrey because she gets away with so much because, well, she can. Slinkie, of course, because beauty and brains with attitude is always fun to write. Randolph is a great straight man who gets to make the zingers once in a while. And I have to admit, I love the villains, too. A lot. I have a very soft spot for Tanner because of all he’s been through. And Lionside surprised me constantly throughout the book. And Hulky, what a hero. And when you get right down to it, Jabbob and Ol’ Temper really have an edge, just because they crack me up. So, yeah, I love all the characters, basically.

But, honesty compels me to admit the truth. Nap’s my favorite. It’s true, I do love the Outland.

6.  What’s up next from G.J.Koch?
Crossing fingers that it’ll be the next book in this series, Alexander Outland: Space Avenger. That’s up to Night Shade Books, of course. (They’re waiting until August to see how sales do, so let’s all race out there and pre-order and buy lots of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate! Go team!)

7. I do think I want to round this off with something silly. What would Alexander say to Katherine “Kitty” Katt if these two met?

Review: Alien Diplomacy - Gini Koch

Being newlyweds and new parents is challenging enough. But Jeff and Kitty Martini are also giving up their roles as super-being exterminators and Commanders in Centaurion Division while mastering the political landscape as the new heads of Centaurion's Diplomatic Corps. Enter a shadowy assassination plot and a new set of anti-alien conspirators, and nothing will ever be the same.

My thoughts:

The book is as crazy as ever. What more can you expect from this series. There are conspiracies, strange taxi drivers, and all while trying to find a nice dress for the President's Ball.

The last review I did I made a bit differently and honestly after 5 books it's hard to say something new. I mean Kitty is cool, though I did feel at one time that she should have know better. I mean I knew better and all thanks to my Kitty schooling. But other than that she was on top of things.

Martini was actually a bit less jealous than usual, made me a bit sad, I like jealous Martini, cos I am weird like that. Mr White, aww, hihi, I do love him. I fear Christopher's dad is taking spot 2 of my fav Kitty men. Then comes Reader and sadly Christopher is now on spot 4 cos he found a girl.

The poofs are adorable as ever, honestly, please get me one!

How Koch makes these plots are beyond me. Things are coming at me from every corner, I can't figure out the baddies (well one), or who to trust, and what on earth is going on.

And last, there is an excerpt from book 6 at the back and let me tell you, it is pure evil! The way it ends in the middle of something juicy makes me want to get book 6 at once. I think it will be a amazing one.

Conclusion:

I do recommend this fun series. READ BOOK 1!

My thoughts:

These books are insane. I think Gini took everything she liked, mixed it together, went a bit crazy, wrote it down and made a freaking marvelous books. I think all authors should just run with it like she does. But then I am sure if someone else did it, I would think "come one, please", but here, here it works.

What to say then, I am a bit lost for words. Ok, I will try to put my kind back together. Kitty is awesome as always, I really need her as my bff. She kicks ass and saves the day. Martini, her hubby, is to die for. I really need a Martini for my own. Even his jealousy is adorable. Together they are meant to be. A true power couple, and one that gets a baby in this book.

The rest, well I love Christoper, I still do not like Chuck *shifty eyes* (trying to steal Jeff's woman!), the poofs are wonderful, I really liked the pontifax in this one, James is great, ACE is cool, and you know the rest. You have to love these people.

The action is nonstop, from her giving birth, to trying to understand who is behind it all. There is a big conspiracy underfoot, and just when you think it is solved you see that there is lots of pages left, aha, more things to come. It's not as easy as it looks.

Conclusion:
In the end what more can I say than that it's a series that I recommend. It even had me dreaming about aliens :)

Join the crew of the Hummingbird as they take on the rich, famous and sleazy of the galaxy. They're also on a long-term secret mission, so it's a good thing they're the best con artists, spacers, and roughnecks in the Milky Way, because they need all their skills to pull off this particular Royal Scam.

My thoughts:

Honestly I can't say much since it was really short. But I will try my best.

I would not say it was much like her other series about Kitty. No, the tone was different and the laughter, fun and sexiness was not here. It was just more sci-fi, which is a good thing.

The crew are con artist, and what their big con is in the end we do not get to know. But we learn what the smaller con is and it surprises me. I did like that. As for the crew, there are humans, not so human like beings, shapeshifters,, just your regular sci.fi crew really.

Even if the writing was good, for me the novella was just too short. It was like I rushed in and then out again. Still for Koch fans it is a must.

I also found myself more interested in another storyline that will not be looked at. Too bad cos the Princess one could be interesting.

As it turns out, the royal family is just the beginning. Especially when extraterrestrial Amazonian terrorists are determined to start and end Kitty and Jeff's nuptial festivities with a bang.

My thoughts:

I adore this funny series. Everything about it is utterly silly and amazing. Maybe I should just write a review why I like the series instead of going in to "analyse" (not that I truly do that either;).

You know what, that sounds like an excellent idea.

Reason why you should read Alien in the Family.

1. Jeff Martini.
He is just so so, awww hug attack! Yes he is really jealous and he really wants her. But I love him even when he thinks she flirts with someone else. The poor guy has a lot of emotional trauma since he is an empathy and can feel everything.

2. Kitty
She is funny, sassy and just everything. She says the strangest things, she does the strangest things. She became a commander of the airborne just cos she is so freaking cool. The aliens love her and I would love to have her as my bff.

3. Reader
Kitty would totally run away with him if he was straight. Sadly he is not and therefore they are best friends and he is lovely and funny.

4. Poofs
In this book you meet poofs. What they are, well on the cover you can see something scary. One of the scary things are the poofs I think. So adorable and scary pets.

5. Funny!
I have mentioned it before but this series is just so funny. There is one scene that had my giggling. I will not tell you what happened but it was hysterical. Kitty is the best.

6. Christopher
I have to mention him too. Jeff's cousin and sometimes I am a tiny bit team Christopher too. If she only could get them both. And he glares! I love this glares. I think the only one I did not like was Chuckie, back off Chuckie. Kitty is only for aliens.

Conclusion:
There you have it. This series is funny, cute, there is romance, danger, freaky aliens and you will never sit there and say "I have seen that". Nope it is fresh and weird.

I recommend it. So read it

It's been five months since marketing manager Katherine "Kitty" Katt started working with the aliens from Alpha Centauri, and she and Jeff Martini are getting closer. But when an experimental spacecraft is mysteriously returned to the Kennedy Space Center, Kitty and the rest of her team are called in to investigate. Now the team must survive murderous attacks, remove a space entity from a group of astronauts, and avoid an unhinged woman with a serious crush on Kitty's high school boyfriend. And that's all before evil masterminds decide Kitty's extermination is vital.

My thoughts:

This series continues to be utterly amusing. There is lots of stuff happening and there is lots of humour promised.

How to write a review of this strange book, that is the question. First let me start that Kitty is an amazing heroine, she can kick ass, she is funny and when it comes to men she can be somewhat clueless. It is also impossible not to like her. She is now the commander of the Airborne and fights uglies together with her man Jeff. Aww Jeff, he is devoted to her, totally crazy about her and knew he wanted her from day one. I do like when he becomes all jealous too. He is my kind of alien. Together this couple is great.

The rest of the crew, nothing bad to say about them. I love how she banters with them, I like Christopher's glares and they are just one fun bunch.

Action, yes all the time. There is a conspiracy, and evil people want to take down the aliens. Not to mention that she gets a crazy stalker after her. What can I say a lot of crazy in this book and it made me like it even more. Hot sizzling romance too. I did not forget about that.

Why is it funny? Well there is always humour even in the darkest of times. Just look at the cover and you get the feel of the book. Cos yes there will be alligators and space shuttles in it.

Conclusion:

I read the book really fast and still it took me longer than normal. It is a mystery. But anyway the book is just that  good. I kept on reading, I smiled and went woot woot. This is a fun series that I would recommend to PNR, UF and sci-fi lovers. I sure enjoyed it and will read more.
