October 16th: What are some of your favorite ghost story books?
Not my month ;) I do want to read more ghost story books and such, but, oh I do not know, there are so many other books to read!
I read this book last winter and it was so creepy. But yes, I do not think it would have been as creepy in print, but in audio, ohhhh, creeepy! But it is not exactly a ghost story, it is and it is not.
And this was another eerie one. It was all normal and then the darkness came. Those long winter months of darkness in the book and not knowing what was looking in. Perfect.
And that is it :)

I don't really do ghost stories - unless it is a paranormal romance or urban fantasy that has a ghost in it. I just started How to Save an Undead Life by Hailey Edwards. Does that count?
ReplyDeleteI say they all count :D
DeleteI haven't read many ghost stories either. The only ones I can think of are The Turn of the Screw and The Woman in Black.
ReplyDeleteI saw the woman movie, chilling
DeleteI always love ghost stories!
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteOh yes, that first one was totally creepy. I need to read your second pick. It sounds eerie.
ReplyDeleteThe second was so eerie. It made me afraid to look out the window
DeleteI will have to hunt down Dark Matter. That one is new to me!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great eerie book
DeleteNot sure for this week!
ReplyDelete;)
DeleteDark Matter sounds good. I've seen others talking about it as well.
ReplyDeleteDef give it a go
DeleteOh...I think that I have a copy of Dark Matter. I will have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteOhh I hope you are right
DeleteYES! I read the Dead House in print, but it's one of those that I think would be AWESOME in audio. So much opportunity for atmosphere. I wish I had listened to it instead of read it.

SO good in audio. There was this creepy music and I did not realise it at first and was all where does that creepy music from from!?
DeleteI like ghost stories, but don't deliberately seek them out. A fun paranormal cozy series, Angie Fox's Southern Ghost Hunter is my favorite current series with a ghost (Frankie a former mob guy who helps solve mysteries).
ReplyDeleteI have not read those! And I do did not think that you could go funny ghost, mystery ghost, lol
DeleteI tend to avoid this subject lolololol
ReplyDelete;)
DeleteI like creepy books but, like you, I don't have them on my shelf already and don't have time lol
ReplyDeleteKaren @ For What It's Worth
Twins!
DeleteMy favorite ghost story is Downside Ghosts by Stacia Kane. It is an amazing UF series where ghosts are the enemy. The audiobook is amazing. I can't recommend enough.
ReplyDeleteMelanie @ Hot Listens & Books of My Heart
I so did not think of UF and pnr, bad me
