Published August 28th 2018 by Daw Books (first published September 5th 2017)
Series: October Daye #11

My Thoughts:
I loved this book. She was back on her A game! I kind of feel I should give it a 5. Right! I mean I could not put it down. I made time for me to read it when I should have done other things cos I HAD TO FINISH! SO I am gonna be freaking nice, 5!

Gosh I love this series. Toby rocks!
F her mum!

She is sent on a quest with an enemy (whom I grew to understand.) And well I just could not put the book down. It was so exciting.

And I do want an end now, no more books. I love this series but I am always afraid it will start to stagnate. And I really want to see if they can bring Faery back and what happens if the big guys come back.

Great installment in this series!

Things are slow, and October "Toby" Daye couldn't be happier about that. The elf-shot cure has been approved, Arden Windermere is settling into her position as Queen in the Mists, and Toby doesn't have anything demanding her attention except for wedding planning and spending time with her family.

Maybe she should have realized that it was too good to last.

When Toby's mother, Amandine, appears on her doorstep with a demand for help, refusing her seems like the right thing to do...until Amandine starts taking hostages, and everything changes. Now Toby doesn't have a choice about whether or not she does as her mother asks. Not with Jazz and Tybalt's lives hanging in the balance. But who could possibly help her find a pureblood she's never met, one who's been missing for over a hundred years?

Enter Simon Torquill, elf-shot enemy turned awakened, uneasy ally. Together, the two of them must try to solve one of the greatest mysteries in the Mists: what happened to Amandine's oldest daughter, August, who disappeared in 1906.

This is one missing person case Toby can't afford to get wrong. (less)

  1. I loooooooved this one! Her mom is the worst ever.

  2. Gosh darn it. I have this series on my watch list for years and still haven’t started it. I am going to read this series and catch up on her Incryptid Series.

    1. Omg you HAVE to read it. I talked with someone on twitter who was unsure when reading book 1. I said stick with it and the next week she was on book 4

  3. Glad to hear you liked it. I've read two of her books and enjoyed them.

  4. Ooh some McGuire! I've read a couple of hers but none of the October Daye stuff (and is that name awesome or what?)

    1. THis is my fav series. I have tried her other ones but I have not loved them as much. Though her novellas are fab

  5. I haven't read this series but I love it when a reader has a five star happiness review!

  6. I have only read book 1 of this series. I don't don't why I stalled, I really should try and catch up.

  7. This is a new author and series to me, thanks for sharing your thoughts!!

  8. I love it when I can't put a book down! I loved this author's (by another pen name) Feed series, so I need to find out more about this series. I can understand wanting things to end so it doesn't ruin the story by dragging it out too long. :)

    1. I was actually not a fan of that one and dnfed it ;) SO I would say they are really different

  9. This is a series I really want to read. The length of it doesn't intimidate me but would like to know that an end is in sight, lol.

  10. I'm waiting on the library to get Rosemary and Rue in for me on audio. I can't wait to start it.

  11. I haven't started this series but it is one my to read list. Glad you enjoyed this one so much!

  12. I will read this series one day. I've had it on my shelf for years.

And you're still liking it at book #11!!!

  13. OMG... A 5!! I want to enjoy the five! But it's book 11! :-(
